national harbor would be pretty terrible without major major roadwork. you'd really need to put it at exit 4+ to avoid making everyone go on the local lanes through alexandria (a true traffic nightmare), which wouldn't be on the water.

last time around danny skimped on infrastructure, and the fans have been paying for it ever since.

I want to know who would pay for it. These deals tend to screw whatever city or area they end up being in.

so true, Mayor Kelly didn't give away the farm so she was thrown out of office.
The voters are clueless.

I don't see it happening in NoVa either, it has to be metro accessible and there's nowhere in Arlington/Alexandria to put it. Putting it out somewhere in Loudoun County would be a terrible idea too. I figure VA really doesn't care about the name so that's a positive though. The best spot seems to be RFK but if DC still doesn't want them back without a name change it will never happen there. MD would clearly still love to keep the team too but idk any suitable locations there. I heard about the farm location across 495 from Nat'l Harbor but with no metro access I doubt they go there. Maybe they renovate RFK and play there for a couple seasons while they tear down Fedex and rebuild there?

The farm is a "National Park" won't happen anyway.

So what happens to that place?

The name change would be moot if DC funds aren't used for the stadium. Personally I hope it's DC and I could also careless if they change the name but that is just me.

Doesn't DC own the land that RFK is on? I might be wrong but if they or the federal gov't own it it definitely wouldn't be a moot point. And RFK is like the only spot in DC big enough for a stadium.

Good point, not that it was the favorite before but I guess that's out.

Why do I have this feeling they are going back into DC?
......Perhaps Marion Barry can handle the delicate negotiations?
