This shakes things up quite a bit. It now virtually ensures a QB will go #1, meaning the second QB just benefitted as well.

Cleveland at 2 might opt to take the 2nd best QB, and you have to figure there's no way the 2nd QB would get past San Fran at 7.

I just love it because I think this locked the Eagles out of being able to get one of them at 8. I love seeing that team mired in QB purgatory.

this this this.

Not only the Eagles but Dallas too. Both these teams were considering QBs in the first. QBs will go 1 and 2 in the draft. Still an outside chance one of those teams could trade up to 2.

Also, Chip Kelly was trying to move up to get a QB too. I love watching Chip Kelly getting repeatedly bitch slapped. The guy's ego is amazing and he think everyone is way beneath him.

Hmmm...Tunsil could slide to Dallas now.

I think the Chargers would scoop him up. Ranked worst in pass blocking last year if I'm correct. Also, the Cowboys have Smith, Free, and they picked up
La'el Collins (1st round talent) as a UDFA. I don't see them picking up a OT this high. Most likely Ramsey, Jack or Bosa, but definitely a defensive pick.

The best part for us Redskins fans is now they will stop talking about the RGIII trade. This is the new trade to follow.

I feel like Wentz/Goff are no Luck/Griffen; at least the hype.

Think snowball in hell when you think of the chances that San Diego will not take him or trade the pick.

I really hope they take Bosa, he is the most overated player in this draft in my opinion. Trent or Morgan will handle him with ease. All of his highlights are when he pushes inside and I would love to see Scherff blast him.

Not sure why the Chargers would pass him up at #3, do they have a stud LT?

I base that on the fact that (currently/it will update soon) all the talking heads mock boys on NFL.com have Chargers all picking defense with their first pick.

Most of those guys probably had Tunsil going to Titans with the #1 though, which pretty much pushes Chargers to pick up defense at that point. Now that Tunsil is back on the board, he'll most likely be there for the Chargers, and they desperately need blocking.

Why are you basing opinions on mocks created with Tennessee picking #1??

Am I taking crazy pills??

Its gotta be for Wentz or Goff

Irony that the Rams are pulling off this trade...giving up the house for a QB after watching us fail doing it with them as our partner.

I was listening to NFLN on the radio on the way to work this morning and the this very same topic was brought up. Almost everyone agreed to what you said. But one very astute guy corrected everyone and said, 'the Redskins (RGIII) trade with the rams was a failure for the Redskins and a win for Rams? No.'
Since that trade Redskins made it to the playoffs twice. Rams have not gone to the playoffs. ZERO! So who failed and who won?
The Rams have not been to the playoffs since 2004-2005 season.
Since "the Trade" in 2012 the Rams season record has been:
2012: 7-9
2013: 7-9
2014: 6-10
2015: 7-9
So where did we fail and they won? In what world? Winning the offseason?

It's categorically incorrect to say the TRADE failed for the Rams. It's completely correct to say the RAMS failed.

They picked some decent players with the picks we gave them. But they never solved the QB problem, which is the biggest failure of them all. No matter what your roster looks like, if you get dreck from QB like they got from Bradford, Nick Foles, and whoever else they suited up, no amount of depth is going to matter.

Likewise, we didn't succeed on the trade. Griffin gave us one good year, then squadoosh. Cousins was the reason we got to the playoffs in 2015. Cousins and Gruden and McCloughan and Reed and everyone else. But not Griffin.

Rams came out on the better end of the trade, but they failed to take advantage of it. Who would I rather be a fan of today? The Redskins. But that has everything to do with the core McCloughan has put into place, and the fact that we have serious hope at QB. It has nothing to do with the trade.

I'm not basing an opinion.
I said he could slide.
Either way I'm still seeing a couple mocks with San Diego taking defense.
Even saw one with the Ravens getting him.
And no, it was not BillyBobsPodunkdraft.net
