I hope they completely shit the bed with this move.

Wow, the fail train just keeps rolling along.
So the Iggles will get Wentz or Goff and have no first rounder next year.
Since the Browns have moved down I assume they have a bit of confidence in RG3.

Browns also seem to know that they have a lot of needs, and spending a top pick on a QB when they have no protection and weapons for that said QB wouldn't make a lot of sense. Browns may still pick up a QB in the later rounds. And if things don't work out next season, they'll have two first rounders in 2017.

Reading bleeding green nation eagles board, most seem completely pissed with the move.

Now if the Chargers can swindle Jerruh out of some draft picks to move up for Ramsey, that would be a cherry on top of these events. :joecool:

The Iggles have now spent 34 million dollars and a slew of picks on three QBs.

With the 2nd overall pick in the draft, the Eagles pick ...

Jaylon Smith.

But seriously ...

I just don't follow college ball close enough. Are Goff and Wentz more of a "sure thing" than Winston and Mariotta were last year? To me, it seems they are a cut below both of them. This smacks of desperation to me.

If they do go QB, then the QB's will have gone 1 and 2 three times in the last four years (2012, 2015, & 2016). The three times before 2012 QB's went 1 & 2 were: 1999 (Tim Couch, McNabb (Akili Smith went No. 3); 1998 (Manning, Leaf); and 1993 (Bledsoe, Rick Mirer).

Here's hoping that whoever they chose is the next Rick Mirer (Sure, it would be nice if it turned into an epic fail of Leaf-like proportions but just don't see that happening).

I think teams are desperate or are making QB choices for the wrong reason (or bit of both).

The Rams trade up to #1 is purely showboating by their owner IMO. He wants a popular QB from the area (Goff) to sell tickets. And the fact that he was too busy trying to move the team to LA and leave the teams in the hands of Mr. Mediocrity.

The Eagles trade is desperation, as they don't want to gamble on Bradfords health or Chase Daniel. I think they could have gotten by with those two QBs and either develop a QB or have high enough of a pick next year to get one.
