I mean when folks say the cliché of "its a copy cat league"...it happens in the coverage too. Does Jay get this job if Romo doesn't go to the booth?

Trends

1. wildcat offense
2 Read-Option
3 Overrated QBs retiring early to the announcing booth?????!!!!!!!

You think Romo was overrated?

Just asking.

The Cowboys will give Jonathan Cooper the first crack to win their left guard vacancy.

Traded by the Cardinals, then cut by the Patriots and Browns, Cooper is on his fourth team in the last calendar year. Suddenly being thrust into a starting job is a big ask. Left guard is the weakest position on Dallas' offense.

The Cowboys plan to use La'El Collins at right tackle this season.

Collins was a left guard in his first two NFL seasons, but he played tackle at LSU and is needed there following Doug Free's retirement. The Cowboys don't trust 2015 third-round pick Chaz Green to man the position full time. Of course, left guard is now a concern after Ronald Leary left in free agency. There's a good chance Dallas' offensive line won't be quite as dominant this year.

Ron Leary gone and D Free retiring....Folks, don't expect the Cowboys Oline to match last couple season success. Ron Leary was awesome...his loss is major.

From what I have seen

Allen: #95
Anderson: #52
Perine: #32

Those are the only ones with numbers I have seen

Why do all the pundits keep screaming they have the best o-line in football. This should be a major step back. lazy reports just follow the same old party line year after year.

Well, they still have some serious studs along the line. Dallas's line gets praised b/c it is damn good most of the time and has been that way for two or three years. Collins, Martin, Frederick and Smith are all, at least, better than average at their positions. Yes, Collins is sliding out to right tackle, and there may be a bit of a step down. However, I am betting that he ends up better than Free in the long run. Silverback is the best left tackle in the game. T. Smith is a not-too-distant second.

Until they actually demonstrate that they aren't as good as they have been, they will continue to be lauded.
