He thought Washington football in the 80s was how it was meant to be played. So sad about this. I definitely learned more from him than any other sportscaster. He was insightful and made the game so much more accessible. And his affection for football was infectious. Madden and Summerall was the gold standard and no one has come close to that tandem in my opinion.
