Everyone is great here , I am dealing

I have support from my other two buddies , it was the 4 us

Those two live in RI still where we all group up

At this point a lot of folks on here I have known so long its like family here

It’s nice to have you guys , I appreciate the support

A band of brothers is so awesome. Glad you have some co-pilots during this shitty time, that's beyond invaluable.

RIP to Josh Vincent, my best friend since 5th grade, my best man at my wedding, i knew him for 40 plus years

Couldn't have asked for a better friend

=(

Sorry to hear that mred. It sucks so hard losing a best friend. Sorry for your loss.

I've been going through it recently too, my dog of 14+ years (https://imgur.com/a/108964V) passed very unexpected recently. Came home from work couple weeks ago, he was fine. Two hours later he was sick. Went to the ER at 8 pm. 1 AM they said they needed to get him stable to run more tests in the morning. Got home at 130 and they called us back and said he wouldn't make it to the morning. Something burst and he had sepsis.

We picked him up at 8 weeks old and had 14 years of great memories afterwards. Didn't even get half a day to say goodbye. It hurts man. But time goes on - I tell my friends all the time don't mourn me when I'm gone, celebrate all the good times we had together. The ride is the experience, not the destination. Keep your head up, it gets better.

Sorry Mooby! The picture where he was presumably on your knee looking up, broke my heart a bit.

MRed/Mooby - I'm sorry for your guys pain. There aren't any magic words that make either situation remotely easy to deal with.

Sorry Mooby for your loss

What is tough is the loss of a dog or friend some folks may brush off that you really are not hurting that much, friends/dogs they are there through thick and thin, they see your best and your worst; you don't pick your family but you do pick your pets and friends

SD you are right there are no magic words but just acknowledging another person's pain and empathizing with them goes a really long way

Also we will all go through it, if you live you must face death, in the ones you love and your own

So just remember this =):

Always so tough to lose a dog. My coworker had to put his down on Tuesday.

I found my Lab’s leach recently which I had packed up when I had to put her down on earth day coming up on 2 years ago. I took it and hung it in my garage next to my tools…it still has year stinky lab smell which I miss so much.

A dog becomes such a beloved member of the family in a heartbeat as know the feeling. So sorry!

Not Apollo… man

All deaths are sad. But sometimes they just hit a little different. Especially when it's people you associate memories with but didn't actually know. This one stings. I actually just watched Happy Gilmore pretty recently. He was awesome in that movie.
