The Gruden era: We fall behind early. We abandon the run. We cannot pass protect very well or consistently so our qb has no time to throw or go through hus progressions. Our opponents defense just has to defend the pass, making it easier for them. Sound familiar?
There is more, the opponents defense can key on the short passing because we cannot give our QB time to throw. We make it so easy for defenses to beat us.

Here's a concerning stat for you..
Ryan Kerrigan after 2 games..
0 Sacks, O hits on the QB. 1 Tackle. Yes 1 tackle.
If Kerrigan is over the hill we've got nothing at OLB.

My problem is this, say we want to move on from Jay Gruden, Do you have any faith in Dan and Bruce to make a competent decision at HC? I don't. This organization has a terrible reputation and attracted talent to come here is much tougher than other places.
Kyle Shanny...and McVay...2 young, up and coming HC. We couldn't recognize it and let them walk. In fact, Dan Snyder and Kyle Shanny hated each other, so its that inability as a organization to even operate as a professional organization.

Offense was pretty terrible, simple as that. It must be one of worst Oline performance I have ever seen, and our running game was nonexistent. WRs and TEs didn't make plays when they got the chance, even though they got only few chances. I am aware that Alex has tendacy of throwing balls to RBs but, dang when we have little time and 2-3 scores behind, he must at least try throw some deep balls. I was hoping he would just throw ball up and let Doctson fight for it. I am really disappointed how Redskins offense came into the game with no energy.
Defense had terrible start but eventually started to gel later in the game although, pass rush was limited. Little to no pressure from Kerrigan and Smith... Norman didn't play well, he need to do more if he wants to continue earning the money. Not all is bad though, Foster, Swearinger, and Dunbar had good game!
We must do much better if we want to win the game against Green Bay.

No question he has to get it going... meanwhile Galette is sitting out there begging for a job, I'd get him in here on a vet min deal pronto. What's there to lose??

If I knew nothing about the game other than Luck's stats, I would have said we smoked them. Worst offensive performance I've seen out of them in a loooong time. I'm not blaming Smith either. He was dinking and dunking because that's ALL that was available. If we picked them apart early with that, we might have won. I blame the offensive line, plain and simple. For having a "top five line" we got absolutely worked against nobody.
All this being said, I expect us to compete with the Packers this weekend because... Redskins.
This! 179yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs isn't bad against a healthy Luck. Plus we allowed 3.7 yards per rush ! And that includes the first drive of the game, wonder what this number is after that first drive.
The D played well enough to win if we only had an average day offensively. Instead it was a disaster.
