I would REDSKINS4ever 03-17-2019, 02:54 PM To free up more cap space it wouldn't be surprising if they cut or trade Jordan Reed....a TE undrafted with Antonio Gates type of ability can be found if the scouts look hard enough and Gates was undrafted. Ummmm. Wut? We are not going to find an Antonio Gates undrafted. Sorry DYoungJelly 03-17-2019, 04:51 PM To free up more cap space it wouldn't be surprising if they cut or trade Jordan Reed....a TE undrafted with Antonio Gates type of ability can be found if the scouts look hard enough and Gates was undrafted. Totally agree. I am only curious as to why you would limit finding undrafted HOF players to the TE position. sdskinsfan2001 03-17-2019, 07:43 PM I would 100% cut Reed or Davis, bump Sprinkle up the depth chart, and draft a TE. If I'm in charge I'm 100% drafting a TE. And it if Hockerson is available I'd be ok doing it in the 1st. In every season he has missed two or more games due to injury and in countless others played at way less than 100%. He probably is only physically able to make a strong impact in an average of 8 games a year career wise. His health is not going to magically improve as he pushes 30. With his contract you would be lucky to get a bag of day old doughnuts for him. He needs to be cut. After looking at his NFL career stats I am blown away how unspectacular they are. According to over the cap Reed has a 2019 cap number of $9,674,125 5.1% of our cap This is no bullshit but here is Jordan Reed NFL career starts by year and TD production: 2013 4 starts 3 TD's 2014 2 starts 0 TD's 2015 9 starts 11 TD's 2016 8 starts 6 TD's 2017 6 starts 2 TD's 2018 8 starts 2 TD's Hey PFF experts, do these look like stats of a someone going to cost our cap $9,674,125 hit this year? Gruden needs to take off his blinders. Irrefutable 03-17-2019, 09:30 PM I would 100% cut Reed or Davis, bump Sprinkle up the depth chart, and draft a TE. If I'm in charge I'm 100% drafting a TE. It looks like there are several good TEs, but none that can block and catch like Hockenson. Where I'm lost is how we are going to find the solution as an undrafted FA. REDSKINS4ever 03-18-2019, 01:00 AM Totally agree. I am only curious as to why you would limit finding undrafted HOF players to the TE position. A good scout does his homework and his research.....this is how teams find a Shannon Sharpe in the 7th round....this how they find undrafted gems like London Fletcher, Tony Romo, and Victor Cruz.....it's not about placing limits....it's about intense scouting. |
