EARTHQUAKE2689 03-05-2019, 11:30 PM I swear if we give up the #15 pick.......... EARTHQUAKE2689 03-05-2019, 11:51 PM Fuck that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk So if I am reading that correctly, we would get Rosen and the #65 and they take #15? Pass..... FrenchSkin 03-06-2019, 03:33 AM I voted yes after listening to Cooley on Sheehan's podcast (https://art19.com/shows/cooley-and-kevin/episodes/a6fe9ed5-fcd8-44b0-8457-044ed333628d/) . It all depends on the price, a combination including a 3rd, or a 2nd alone and I'd be fine with it, but I'd be mad if they give away 15th. I get the feeling we could get him at a surprisingly cheap price. Last year's performance hurt his stock, the fact that the Cards want to trade Murray and trade Rosen away is hurting his stock, the fact that every body is getting so hyped on some of this year draft's QBs is hurting his stock. If we can coach the fumble away and coach the "throw the check down when you need to" in, we have a very decent young prospect for virtually no cap hit. I'd like that. FrenchSkin 03-06-2019, 03:36 AM About the trading TW and RK thing, Sheehan only spoke about it when he was exposing his "blow the whole thing up" theory, in which trading your valuable assets to get value when you'll be competitive in exchange for players that won't be valuable when you finally get competitive makes sense. But it's obvious this FO and coaching staff is trying to save their asses so this is not happening. It's one of those "what else is he going to say" things FrenchSkin 03-06-2019, 08:32 AM It's one of those "what else is he going to say" things Right. But the fact that he finally says what he's supposed to say after saying he'd pick Murray if he could and everybody has been speculating that he would for several weeks, that he says it now that they're trying to get value for Rosen kinda feels like a "shit we have no leverage if every body is 100% sure that we won't need Rosen after drafting Murray" move... skinsfaninok 03-06-2019, 09:47 AM https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D08vOU5WoAYrihb.jpg:large This is at the Cardinals team store.... Obviously the smoke was real in this rumor. Schneed10 03-06-2019, 09:49 AM I don't think it's that it takes away their leverage in Rosen discussions, I think it's that it takes away their leverage in the off chance that they got offered a king's ransom for the first overall pick. The leverage in Rosen discussions only comes if multiple teams are in the hunt. Otherwise they have no leverage. At this point it's pretty well known that they want Murray. They're probably thinking plan A would be to get offered a Herschel Walker or Ricky Williams level trade for the #1 overall. Plan B would be to take Kyler and trade Josh Rosen for the highest offer they can get. Trading Rosen will work quite well for them if they've got two or more interested teams bidding against each other. Right now it looks like the Skins have competition from the Giants. The Cards can simply play them off one another, knowing that they're division rivals and don't want to see the other land a QB they think has a future. |
