If they balk over a 2nd they’re dumb

Agree
Guy's a 1st rounder one year and all of a sudden not worth a 2nd the next? Makes no sense.
I can see digging in your heels and not giving up the 1st rounder. But I think eventually on draft day or right before, the price goes to the Redskins 2nd plus a mid or low pick next year too. I think they'll end up doing it, regardless of the kind of stuff being leaked to Keim and Finlay around this time (posturing).

Its just not consistent logic...which is par for the course.
Josh Rosen...Widely considered 2-3rd best QB last year...considered this year the best-2nd QB prospect in the group this year.
But 33 year old Alex Smith (Avg QB) 70+ guaranteed, 3rd round pick and a young DB stud?
Its laughable how bad Bruce is at the QB position.
To be fair though this is what Keim said, I don't get the impression that a 2nd will be an issue
But a third-rounder? No-brainer. A second? It'll take some convincing, but it shouldn't be a deterrent -- and if the Redskins want, they can always recoup the lost pick by trading back in the first round.

Agree. There are leaks to Finlay and others that the Redskins are reluctant to offer higher than a 3rd rounder. To me, that's clear and obvious posturing through the media, those leaks are probably coming from Bruce himself.
They don't want to give up their 1st, Arizona wants to save face by getting as much as they can for Rosen, to me the price clearly ends up at a 2nd rounder and change. It's so clear and obvious to me that's where it's going.

Here's a question - would you rather trade our 2nd or both our 3rd for Rosen?

Same here - we've seem to do pretty well in the 3rd and 4th rounds over the past few years.
With our recent dismal track record on 2nd rd picks I'd rather give up that pick

Even if we don't get Rosen, it might even behoove us to trade out of the 2nd and accumulate a couple 3rds
