Every fan base thinks the league is out to get them and every sports writer is biased against them

Just look at the Saints home crowd last week with about half the crowd wearing ref shirts [emoji849]

LOL. My daughter in law watching her Seahawks is like "Look at all the f*!king holding! Wheres the flag?"

And I'm like, "Honey, he's the ball carrier, I think it's okay this time."

thus the difference between new to watching football and watching the evolution of the game, league and the way its being officiated for almost 30 years.

I don't believe the officials are out to get the Redskins. Jay Gruden's teams are generally undisciplined, with enough penalties to get into the top 25% of the most penalized teams in the NFL in 2018. Maybe it's just the style of the team's playcalling, or the way he addresses penalty issues with players after the game; or keeping high penalty players like Morgan Moses in the game.

I don't think its luck. Highly disciplined teams like the Patriots are low in penalties on 2018.

Again, our TEs blocking still is an issue in the run game, ie VD on this play... no run game expert but if he blocks his guy it seems like it could've been a solid gain.

Per football focus, his blocking grade was in the 20s...which is lowest among all nfl tight ends across the league.

It’s a major issue

It’s a major issueGood to know. .. sometimes I feel like I hate too much on him ^^
But when I saw this play on the all 22 I was like this is not me, that's piss poor effort.

^^^^Look at where he lined up presnap. There is a huge gap between TE and RT. TE lined ups outside shoulder of a defender he has to prevent from going inside. He no chance to block him where lined up. Not just effort, it lack of intelligence and coaching.

I been watching for over 50, since I was about 5. I was playing in High School when they made the head slap illegal. Our line coach taught guys to grab their own jersey when engaged with a defender to avoid illegal use of hands calls. I think it would be a kick to have a game refereed by 1970's interpretation of the rules nowadays. Do a couple games a year like that without pre-warning.

VD is never a good blocker TBH.
