The practicality of it is this, say I just want to visit the home page really quick to see what the latest Redskins news is, I can look to the news wire and see what's new and be on my way, rather than sifting through the latest dicussions in the locker room.
When you reply to posts in the locker room, it bumps that thread to the top. So it's not easy to keep track of what the latest news is.
It's just an easy way to seperate news from discussion, that's all.
If I may be so bold as to speak to this issue, I think all Matty is saying is that the News Wire section was never intended as a discussion forum, therefore its sole purpose is for individual posts of news articles so that members may quickly and easily find the latest Redskins news without having to sift through other readers' responses to the article.
The Locker Room is where you would go to discuss the news of the day. That's the way it's always been. Matty wasn't trying to censor or edit anyone's posts. SBF, you're a longtime member here, and we respect your opinion. We don't have any reason to start a beef with you, we just want everyone to post their thoughts in the appropriate forum. Now let's all hug and go back to bitching about Sean Taylor. :grouphug:
I missed your post but thanks for summing it up nicely.
