The only good thing about was they could move on from Wentz after one year. But if Ron actually knew what he was doing, he would have just rolled w/ Taylor and let Howell come in when he was ready. Total waste of resources, time and also development for Howell. Howell could be way farther along if he had had a chance to play more, instead they messed around w/ Wentz.
