I'd still be surprised if Flacco is not the starter. Just seems like the safest bet with all the experience, ring, and arm strength despite his age. Hard to predict honestly. I mean, they're not winning anything this year (or until they ditch DW's contract), so flacco giving you a couple W's doesn't really matter. Kinda better to see if the young guys are good enough to start or flip for picks (and/or tank for manning).

Derrick Carr has retired.Pretty surprising as he's not that old. There did seem to be some real ambiguity about his injury. Seems like a trend where more NFL guys are retiring younger that prior eras.

Report I read was that while he gets to keep his signing bonus, his salary is voided. Are they allowed to spread his SB over the remaining term of his (now void?) contract or does it all accelerate into this year?
