There's no other way to put it: Joe Gibbs' first season back in Washington was a disaster.
Actually there is. It would go something like this: 'There's no other way to put it: I don't know a damn thing about football. I look at a 6-10 team that was about 5 plays away from 8-8 or 9-7 and have no other choice but deem it a disaster. In fact unless a team wins the superbowl then the season is a disaster.'
But the parts are in stock for a rebound, though maybe not a playoff run.
A rebound would almost assuredly put us in the playoffs. Again what a moron
But too many questions surround the quarterback situation to give a blessing before the season kicks off.
Even a blind squirell finds a nut now and then and apparently this moron can read and has found out the the Skins have what we can euphamistically call a 'QB Issue'. He gets no points for regurgitating a known issue.

I guess I think these rankings have the skins just about where they should be. Last years team had a good defense but a non-existant offense. This year they go into the season with essentailly the same defense and an offense with a shakey and unproven QB, average WRs, good RB & line. Essentially the same as last year. So until the offense proves it can do something I dont see how the skins can be ranked any higher.
I try to not get too riled up over these silly power rankings, but I see a handful of teams ranked ahead of the Skins that have just as many questions, if not more.
The Ravens at #10 seem awfully high for a Kyle Boller led offense.
The Cardinals at #15? That's pure hype. I guess people have already forgot that Kurt Warner is their QB. If someone just breathes on this guy he coughs up the ball. They mention "if" they can protect him... isn't that a big if considering how poorly he plays with someone in his face?
The Bengals at #17 despite a very shaky preseason showing by Carson Palmer. Yet somehow they encourage fans to "overlook" this.
It just seems that with some teams they are overly optimistic, and with the Skins they are overly cautious, but I guess that's been the theme of our offseason to date.
All the more people to prove wrong I guess!

I do think the Cards rating is way too high and the Bengals seem a little too high also. The Ravens are a different story, they are a perennial playoff team and have had lots of success recently. I think if all things were the same as they are now but the skins had the recent success of the ravens they would be ranked in the top 15.

What is the deal with everyones sudden love for Carson Palmer? I've read like 3-4 articles that say he's gonna break out this year? Even one comparing him to Troy Aikman (I think it was Chris Carter also said Campbell was the rookie QB to watch) He hasn't shown me much more then Ramsey? But my blind fandom tells me Ramsey is gonna dominate so what do I know!

before i read it let me assume that the redskins are ranked somewhere from 28-32. okay i was wrong, they ranked us 26. that's not so bad, at least we're better than six other teams.

5. Bills
10th
(+5) Hmm, in the Bills you have a team built around a turnover machine on defense (ranked No. 2 overall in 2004), excellent special teams (five kick/punt returns for TDs last year) and an offense led by a young, mobile QB (second-year J.P. Losman) surrounded by a stellar group of runners and receivers ... all set in a football-crazy city in the Northeast. Sounds a lot like last year's Steelers. If Losman is this year's Roethlisberger, watch out.
uh...stellar recievers???? moulds is solid now, hes not elite like he was, and lee evans had a pretty good year last year...but stellar?? lead by a rookie QB that no1 really knows much about??? failing to mention that they lost pat williams, their best dlineman...#5 is outrageous for the bills
Wow I didn't see the Bills at #5, talk about hype... damn!
