Wilds was the most surprising if only because he lost out to Jimoh.
Wilson was the most disappointing because it does seem to leave us thin at tackle.
I never expected McCune to make it so no surprise he was cut.
We should expect Wilson to make the PS. With the exception of last year, Jansen never missed a game as Skin and although Samuels isn't as durable he has played through injuries/nicks pretty consistently.
It seems the staff wanted more depth and rotation in the interior on the active
Roster. Unless Jansen and Samuels both got hurt I wouldn't worry much.

Good points, I guess Molinaro and Brown are sufficient cover and if Wilson isn't picked up he's there for an emergency.

Most surprised by Wilds. We need a good dimeback and Wilds have better cover skills than Jimoh...IMO.
Most disappointed by McCune. I guess I bought into the hype and expected him to be at least a backup MLB.

Goes to show hype is only worth the paper it's printed on - ask Zak Keasey.

McCune was overhyped, but there I think there was room for excitement; the guy was a hard worker and had all the tangibles. I think the coaching staff saw a little more than his speed and size when they drafted him with their 5th round draft pick. A good coaching staff doesn't waste a 5th rounder simply because a guy is big and fast. Granted, they realized they made a mistake and cut him; but to say that McCune was bound to fail is a little strange. Either you are a big Louisville fan and you KNEW McCune would fail simply based on your direct observations of him, or you have VERY little faith in the coaching staff's scouting abilities.
I personally voted for McCune because he did have the tangibles and I believe in the coaching staff. I thought that they saw something in him and if that "something" was there, he could be special given his tangibles.
McCune was definitely overhyped because of his impressive appearance, but then again that was the book on him coming out of college. The experts said he was a workout warrior and somebody would fall in love with that aspect and take him.

Ok. Glad to see that the coaches saw that Groom was keeper. I'm cool with Keasey making the squad too because he has good size, 6' 0" 236lbs, speed, heart, and is supposedly picking up the schemes well (also, on Madden he'll have the blonde dreads hanging out the back of his helmet). Wilds blew some assignments big time in the preseason closer so it's understood why his leash was so short. I'm still unsatisfied with our DEs. Greg Williams may be too, but he will work with the talent we already have. None of these guys have the pass rushing skills and moves of a premier DE and that includes Arrington. That's the reason L.A. is used as a DE on 'passing downs' and equally the reason he's not effective at it. The 3-3-5 formation suits our players' strengths more. Maybe the previously injury riddled Nic Clemons will live up to his #90 jersey (I nearly torched mine when Kenard Lang left to go play for his old college coach who by the way is out of the league(?) :oink:

Yeah, I believe Kenard is done. But on the contrary about the DEs. While not spectacular, I think they are very solid and capable. The lack of pass rush is a concern, but who knows what will happen when the whistle blows on 9/11.
We could be in for a treat- besides I don't think Wynn and Daniels have played a full season together yet.
Aki Jones could be someone they are hoping will develop sooner rather than later. Stay tuned...
Lang has actually dropped some weight and converted to LB.
I think the most surprising cut was Garnell Wilds. I mean what has Ade Jimoh done to keep dodging the bullet?
Is everyone sure that Ade Jimoh and Rufus Brown are not the same person?
