It should be remembered that the strength of our team is our defense and our running game. It's as simple as that. So while I enjoy seeing big plays and an exciting aerial attack, the best QB for this team is not necessarily one who's going to be make SportsCenter's Top 10. It's someone who puts the game in the hands of our defense and running game, and doesn't take opportunities away from them. I believe Ramsey is fully capable of being that QB. He doesn't need to be a superstar highlight reel to lead this team. Just a smart QB.

This is exactly what I was thinking... I just believe Gibbs doesn't trust Ramsey's decision-making skills quite yet. Yesterday, he proved he can move the ball against a solid defense. But he still hasn't shown he can not turn the ball over.

I'm not sure increased game experience can fix the problems that Ramsey has right now- it's not a matter of him growing in the offense... it comes down to keeping the ball out of the defense's possession. It's smarts that Gibbs feels shouldn't be gained during Sundays at full tilt.

i think it boils down to just that: turnovers.

If you can't protect the ball, I don't care that you can put up 300+. I like Ramsey alot, but he just hasn't gotten the job done. It's gotta suck for him and the inconsistancy around him. But I think Gibbs sees what I and alot of others see. If we can just get someone to manage the game and put Portis and the defense in a position to make plays we'll do alright this season.

Exactly. That's what we did yesterday. And most of our wins will probably come that way.

Okay, I hope Brunell starts the rest of the season. Then, we'll see how well everything goes.

I know increased game experience will only help him, but seriously, when is his time?

If Brunell is starting based on the fact that Ramsey is hurt, that's one thing. If it's not, I for one, think this may be some of the last times that we see Ramsey.

Something told me that Brunell would make it in early in the season.

the reason brunell wasnt taken out when ramsey was cleared was this

1. Precautionary reasons for Ramsey

2. Why take Brunell out when our offense is getting in rhythm with him in there?

I just heard Ramsey came out and said he wants to be traded....

Good point, the Bears defense was nasty.

I wasn't too surprised Gibbs announced the Brunell would start. I feel sorry for Ramsey - has he had a fair shot? Unfortunately our hated Cowboys looked real good.

It is a shame our QBs stink. How good was S. Moss, L. Betts and Portis?

Begging for just 1 win at Dallas...even if it is 3-2.

It would be very interesting to ask the Redskin receivers and the other players who THEY would want as their QB.

Do you really believe we will win games playing the way we played yesterday on offense?

Do you really beleive we will run the ball effectivly with Brunell in there? All we heard all offseason is how we have to throw the ball downfield to get the D to stop bringing 8 men into the box, well good luck with that, we now have recievers that Brunell can't reach downfield, so what do we think will happen, teams will start stacking the box again and grind our offense to a halt.
