Does a bear shit in the woods?
Do you trust Gibbs?Redskins_P 09-13-2005, 03:51 PM Does a bear shit in the woods? offiss 09-13-2005, 03:53 PM I'm going throw out this possibility, as far-fetched as some may believe it to be. What if the players really don't have that much faith in Ramsey? What if some of the veterans (let's say Springs and Patten for the sake of argument) went to Gibbs in recent weeks and said "Coach, I know you declared Ram the starter, but we're not so sure about that. We don't feel he's ready yet?" What if they went to Gibbs and said we don't think your ready yet coach? offiss 09-13-2005, 03:55 PM Offiss, Coach gibbs past doesn't in any way suggest he's that kind of man. I honestly believe that we are not seeing what the caoching staff are seeing. There is something that will come to light after Ramsey has left. The past is the past. I agree on the second part, and it may very well be Gibbs has lost it. Redskins_P 09-13-2005, 03:55 PM What if they went to Gibbs and said we don't think your ready yet coach? That is the most stupidest statement I've ever read. RedskinRat 09-13-2005, 03:59 PM I think we need to use orange for sarcastic or facetious comments. Just to avoid misunderstandings. Oh, and brown for stupid comments. wilsowilso 09-13-2005, 03:59 PM If this ship sinks with Coach Gibbs at the helm then I'm going down with it every time till the day I die! The man earned that kind of respect from me and nothing can ever take it away. This little episode is just part of the intrigue of watching him work this team back to greatness. He works so hard it's silly. That's all that matters. Joe Gibbs best is got to be better than most of the rest. I can't wait to see what happens this year. We have so much potential. Granted that the QB situation is a vital piece to the puzzle, but everything else is pretty darn good so far isn't it? offiss 09-13-2005, 04:01 PM I think we need to use orange for sarcastic or facetious comments. Just to avoid misunderstandings. Oh, and brown for stupid comments. It seems I have to learn how to do that. :laughing- VishsSkins 09-13-2005, 04:05 PM Without a doubt yes. Sociofan 09-13-2005, 04:10 PM Here's my short-term reason: we really don't have a good QB. We're gonna win with D and the run, so turnovers and 3rd down efficiency are what matter. JW has given an absolute truth. We really DON'T have a very good QB ready to play right now. BUT, does anyone even remember who was playing QB for Baltimore when they won the Super Bowl...I can't. But I remember they had a stud defense and a running back named Jamal Lewis. Their QB just managed the game. It can be done and I'm trusting Gibbs to see what the rest of us can't. jamf 09-13-2005, 04:12 PM I voted no, I don't believe he honored his word in giving [what everyone knew he said] Ramsey the starters job You are correct But he owes it to the fans, management and the players to start he QB that gives them the best chance to win. Gibbs has been making mistakes handling players, but i trust him to do the best for the team no matter how bad it makes him look. |
