Bowen definitely gives it his all on every play, but isn't he slow?
Slow?
One of the few things he has going for him is speed.

Pierson Prioleau or Matt Bowen?MTK 09-28-2005, 01:26 PM Bowen definitely gives it his all on every play, but isn't he slow? Slow? One of the few things he has going for him is speed. That Guy 09-28-2005, 01:26 PM clark has been hurt for a while now. MTK 09-28-2005, 01:27 PM I'll go with neither on this one. They both have their limitations and overall are average players. Big C 09-28-2005, 01:29 PM it says bowen is 25 in the article...he was born in 76 making him either 28 or 29 depending on his bday...stupid washintgon times RedskinRat 09-28-2005, 01:30 PM I can see Bowen being the blitzer opposite side from Springs, both coming on every other blitz called. Bowen is a big hitter, one of my favorite players from the intensity POV, but ponderous on pass coverage. He seems to lose a step on thought process. Daseal 09-28-2005, 01:44 PM The only big hit Bowen's ever put on anyone was trung in training camp. Bowen is too much of a liability in the passing game to play him much, it also doesnt help to have the other team see 41 and know a blitz is coming. I like Pierson and Stoutamire myself. offiss 09-28-2005, 01:54 PM Slow? One of the few things he has going for him is speed. Whether he has straight line speed or not is irrelevent, he alway's seems to be 2 steps behind the reciever. Theismann's Good Leg 09-28-2005, 01:56 PM Our big problem will be slowing Alexander. I think that Bowen is a little better in the run D (not as good in the pass). So Bowen is a better start this week. So you didn't watch the first two games of last season? Defensewins 09-28-2005, 02:14 PM I go with PP. He has been playing very well. Bowen is very one dimensional. Not very good in pass coverage. I have been frustrated by Bowen's play in the past. He is good at blitzing Qb, but that is about it. |
