So you didn't watch the first two games of last season?
Those are the only two games where he has played well. He is still a liablitiy in the pass coverage, which is why Williams takes him out in obvious pass plays where he is not going to blitz the SS..

Redskinrat - he didn't really lay any hits where I went wow, what a hit. Not like watching Taylor hit that Cowboys receiver or the Pittsburgh receiver last year. Or like stoutamire vs Moose. Bowen made some good tackles on the blitz, but he didn't really make someone think twice about catching a ball.

To be honest, Bowen played pretty well in pass coverage last week. If he can keep up that type of play, I'd feel fine with him back there while PP is out.

Yeah, being on IR made him less available......;)

I'd have to disagree, good naturedly. There was one blindsider on a QB (sorry, don't remember the opposing team) where I expected to see a priest come on for Last Rites. Bowen can bring it, shaky on pass D though.
Whether he has straight line speed or not is irrelevent, he alway's seems to be 2 steps behind the reciever.
Exactly, all I was saying was speed isn't his problem.
His decision making on the other hand...

it's Bowen's closing speed i see as his problem. he can't make those 2 steps up once the ball is in the air. seen too many 'oh, almost there's

I like bowen playing this week. He is a good run stopper and tackler. We'll need that for Alexander. I don't think IMO there is a better blitzing saftey on the team including Taylor. (from what i've seen of cource) Bowen gets to the QB. He has been shaky in pass coverage in the past but he sure did'nt look bad when he made that play on Keyshawn J. late in the Cowgirl game on the sideline. We can use the pressure on Matt; his WR can't catch anyway. (lets hope they get the drops like they had last year!!

that's true, good point. does Seattle have anyone you'd consider a burner?

I don't know of any safety in this league that can bring it like Taylor!
