I'll wait until all the systems are out and the prices are more reasonable.
Plus the games right now aren't really all that impressive, the developers will need some time to figure out how to work with the new systems to get the most out of them.

Yeah, I haven't seen anything great about the new system.
jbcjr14 11-28-2005, 04:50 PM I got mine at launch....love it! Its very good and Tiger Woods is alot of fun. Like everyone says, it will only get better as the developers learn the processing power of this thing. Great system and all the tools for incredible games are in place. Madden is decent and looks pretty, but they did take out some of the good stuff.
PGR3 (racing) is alot of fun. Perfect Dark Zero and COD2 are good FPS games. COD2, that shit is just ridiculously fun and immersive. You feel like you are there if you have the hdtv and 5.1 surround.
All in all its a good system with tremendous upside once the developers figure out how to build games with the 3 core processors.
skinsfanthru&thru 02-09-2006, 11:41 PM I didn't feel like starting a new thread but I wanted to see if anyone here that got a 360 plays on x-box live cuz I've really started to get into playing COD 2 and will definitely be playing a lot of the upcoming games in Fight Night3, the Outfit, and Blazing Angels. anyone who does play on live and looking for another person to get online with send me a pm with your gamertag and I'll shoot u mine 2.
D'BOYZ 02-10-2006, 11:08 AM I haven't buy it I have read that has some bugs and heating problems that just screws the gameplay I'm wating for next year maddens game and maybe the new consoles get this problem fixed before I buy it every time a new console comes it has problems so I usually waith for this problems to get fix
jbcjr14 02-10-2006, 02:26 PM Boyz - I had a bad box on launch, but the customer service at M$oft was excellent and had a replacement in 3 days. There really isn't a problem now, just finding one! The system is excellent and with Fight Night 3 (Boxing) coming out next week and being labeled as the TRUE first NEXT GEN title its going to be insane! Next years Madden should be off the hook though!
mooby 02-10-2006, 11:09 PM i will be waiting for the ps3 to come out, and even when it does come out, i am going to wait until the price drops a bit. I've heard that when the first version of a new console comes out, they deliberately don't fix some of the bugs so that you go back and purchase more stuff to fix it. I will be waiting a few months after the ps3 comes out, the price drops, and i don't hear a lot of rumors about shit gone bad with it. The next madden i'm getting is madden 2007, none of this new version of 2006 shit. I'm quite happy with my ps2 version of madden 2006 as it is, i just wish i could get it hooked up to the internet without having to buy all this gear to make it work.

I am not adverse to PS, but if you want online gameplay, you MUST flip to the XBOX side of things! There is NOTHING like it!
mooby 02-11-2006, 02:41 PM well if it costs as much as all that crap did for mine. This was a long and hassling process, and my ps2 still isn't hooked up yet. I used to have the old version of a ps2, so i got a network adapter for x-mas. I put in the online start up disc but the damn thing wouldn't read it. I went back out, and bought a laser cleaner for the ps2, i go back home, and it won't read that either. So then, i go back out again, and i buy this complete package of shit specifically for consoles, but while i'm out, the sales guy at circuit city was like, well if it won't read the online disc or the cleaner disc, it's basically a sign that in a couple months the ps2 is gonna die. So i go home not only with that console cleaner thing, but with a brand new, slimmer ps2. This ps2 reads the online disc but it says because my computer is part of a home network, i have to go back out and buy a wireless network bridge to hook up to the ps2, because i can't just take a line directly from the ps2 to my computer. That pissed me off, because while i was at the store earlier, the sales guy had told me that for the slimmer ps2 i would need one, and he showed me some, the cheapest was like a 100 bucks, but i thought he was just trying to sell things. After i discovered that i'm gonna need the wireless bridge thing, i was just like **** it, i'll just wait until the ps3 comes out. I dunno if that's similar to what you have to do for the xbox, but if it is, then i can just wait.

I am almost 100% sure u can link an ether net cable from your new ps2 to your modem, u just can't use the internet on any computers at the same time. and for the x-box u can either run a cable to your modem like above or get a wireless adapter ($100 new/$50-70 used) and pay for however long you want your subscription to last. I kept holding out to play online but ever since I joined x-box live I've become absolutely addicted to it and can't wait to try a couple new games out on it. For me I won't be getting a PS3 til I see a game I absolutely have to have like a God of War 2, Kingdom Hearts 3, FF 13, or something that compells me to buy it cuz I can't justify buying 2 $400+ systems within a year of each other when they r gonna be pretty much the same systems just each with a couple of exclusive games that r gonna range between 50 to 70 bucks.
