Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
:dallas: i'm just looking for the offensive line to come together. because without that all dreams go up in flames.it'll just be nice to see them, maybe even see taylor lay gardner out. other than that. No Injuries!!!!!

Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
I'm hoping we see alot of Ramsey and the first team guys. And I hope we start to see some glimpes of what this year could bring. A more vertical passing game, improved protection, poise and confidence in the pocket by Ramsey, and some signs that our "small" WRs can cut it.
I'll also be interested to see Brunell. I'm not concerned with the defense at all, just hoping for no injuries. It's the offense that needs to show us something. |
Sorry I left out one thing. I thnk this will be Ade Jimoh break out game with one sack, 3 pass defended, an int. for a touch down, and a fumble recovery. He may even layout 50/50 seperating him from the ball.

Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
all i look for is some decent production on offense, our defense getting up to speed, and no injuries. personally, i don't have any expectations for brunell, i wish we could just keep him on the sidelines the whole time. i would like to see how campbell does though.

Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
I see a weak offensive performance this week from the starters. D should be fine, but will have issues with the corners out. Look for the D not to show very much in the early stages of preseason.

Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
they'll get over 7, our dbs are hurt and they've got a decent passing game.
If by decent, you mean it's about average... ...possibly 50/50? ;) And more than anything I just want to see us GO downfield. Whether they catch it or not, just show that we have the balls to do it. I also agree with TAFKAS about Nemo. I keep hearing all these things and I can't wait to see what all the hype is about. |
Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
PReseason is an excuse for nerds like us to scout out what we have in the 3rd string. Vanilla play books coupled with lack of starters (or caring for that matter.) It's a great chance to see some rookie action (really interested in McCune) and watch Ade dominate!

Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
Good luck, guys. But our 1st defense is awesome, even if a couple starters don't play (Minter, Lucas). Both teams have good "D". I look for a low scoring game. Of course that's what they said when we were in the SB against the Pats.

Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
Let's also see a "3 and 5" where J. Delholme fires a 6 yard out to Gardner who then promptly drops it. A classic "buyer be ware". (maybe also while getting straight hammered by ST)
I'm sticking with my opinion that CAR got the better end of the deal in the trade for Gardner. Maybe we should've held on to 50/50 for a few more weeks. Guys are starting to have season ending injuries already. :oink: |
Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
Ramsey and most of the first team offense will play the entire first half... won't look great but will score a touchdown on the last drive of the half before letting the backups in. Together with the interception that Ade Jimoh runs back for a touchdown, the Redskins will be up 14-10 at the half and will win the game 24 -17 on a Campbell scramble.

Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
If we score over 21 points, win or loss, I'll be happy. Our offense needs to produce. I would love to see Campbell come in give us a good long drive. Also, I would like to see us take some shots downfield.
I just want to see improvements on the offensive side of the ball. |
Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
With this being the 1st preseason game, I'm not expecting much from either team. The biggest concern is injuries. Remember, it was our 1st preseason game last year when big Jon went down. NO INJURIES is the mantra. Otherwise, no "coming together" or "gelling" can take place. Panthers fans can relate with this too. They were just racked with hurts last year.
Good luck to the teams and I hope Rod has a good game. He got hosed in the Dallas game last year. :dallas: |
Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
I'm pretty much hoping the special teams will have the strongest game of the three units. Special teams can really set the tone for a game. The defense is a given and I think the offense will need a game or two. Still no concerns there.
Basically, if we can get out without any major injuries and strong special teams play I think the staff will be happy. Pred. Skins 11-5 this year! Portis 1600 yds - People to watch on defense: Marshall, Clemons, K. Campbell, and Ron Warner offense: Nemo, Manny White, Jansen |
Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
I wish I could watch the game, but I"ll have to wait until Monday when they play it on the NFL network. Oh well, I'm going to Niagra Falls, Canada to party instead. Maybe I'll see the highlights up there.

Re: Redskins v Panthers pre-game thread
o-line and Qb in the first quarter that is all i REALLY need to see.
some extras: 50/50 drops 2 passes, 1 due to his 50/50ness and one due to a layout by Taylor for being a d-bag Antonio Brown Antonio Brown. I just want to see him break a big return, also i will like to see him at the end on Offense I NEED TO SEE SOME DOWNFIELD PASSING. even if nothing comes of it we have to attempt it to show we have the balls to do it as malcom says JASON CAMPBELL- I just love to watch him play COOOOOOOOLEEEY= Cooley catches 3 balls and 1 for a TD See how holdman does HAIL YEAH ITS THE PRESEASON |
