Re: Classless Coach Belichick
you know, though guys... we did score like 52 points on a pathetic 49er team a couple of years ago. I don't think we went for it on fourth in the redzone ahead by forty, nor would we have, but we buried that team and scored in the fourth quarter there as well...
I DO think since everyone was saying they hadn't played a D like ours yet they were out to prove a point, and they did it... I'm more pissed that the skins allowed them to do it than the fact that they did it... I'm also extremely pissed that it didn't seem like our coaching staff was getting pissed through the playcalling (defensively)... again, the only thing that would've made me feel better was to send a message back, instead of lying there crying like the fucking whipping boy. I was talking with some friends before the game and they pointed out several instances, throughout the week where it sounded like our team had no confidence we could win the game... a couple of 4-3 ain't bad comments and gibbs saying no one had a game plan for them, etc... we need to grow some balls collectively and let this loss and embarrassment fuel a fire that burns for the rest of the season in our guts and start playing 60 minutes of football every week for the rest of the season. |

It would have gone a long way for Greg Williams to go "WTF, lets blitz every f***ing play!" Or, if Gibbs had got in Belichick's face after the game. But unfortunately, none of that happened and face it folks, we look like a bunch of p*ssies. Does anyone really think that any team in the NFL actually fears us anymore? Seriously! |

He's always shown respect for the caliber of the opposition I don't think the Redskins sent a "message" back for two reasons. 1.) They were so depleted as it was with Smoot, Rogers, and Rocky out and exhausted from being on the field so much that they probably didn't have the energy to do it. 2.) I'm sure they were told not to stoop to the Patriots' level When we scored 52 on the 49ers, Ramsey played the 4th quarter and something like 23 of our final 25 plays from scrimmage were basic running plays |
Re: Classless Coach Belichick
Apparently you have trouble reading posts or possibly just reading altogether. If you had put down the crack pipe for a moment you would have read where I had hoped for Gibbs to do something similar to what you just stated. Maybe not "smack someone in the mouth," as that would be as infantile as your reply, but at least let Belichick know that he had taken exception to what had just happened (you know skinsfan69, run up the score?). If that's too complicated for you to grasp in my original post, then please go back to your pipe. As you've stated the obvious that even my 10-yr. old could have said more intelligently: "This is the NFL, not pee wee league," the NFL is a PROFESSIONAL league in case you didn't get the memo. Professionals don't pout and get all pissy because they've been accused of cheating in the NFL or cheating with another guy's wife. Professionals don't run up the score either. As I said in the original post (again, probably too much for you to comprehend), the Pats were much better than us Sunday, plain and simple. Ain't no cryin' going on here because of that or anything else. You're the loser my friend for not being able to understand simple language.
Oh I understand English very well. You started this silly thread by crying like a little bitch cause the score was 38 nothing and you wanted Bill B. to call off the dogs. You wanted to him to stop throwing. My point is why? They don't play to stop scoring and run out the clock. That is not what they do and I don't have a problem with it. Honestly I wish our coaches had that mentality. Perhaps if we did we wouldn't be blowing 4th q leads all the time. It's not the Pats coaching staff's fault that we suck so bad that we can't stop the Pats 2nd stringers, or we can't get a first down to keep our defense off the field, or stop Mike Vrabel from running the same play he has been running for 4 years. Plus your crying about Brady being all smug on the sidelines? For what? You would be smug too if you just threw for 3td's and ran for 2 and were banging a hot ass supermodel. Why do so many people hate on the guy? You just sound like a little 2 year old baby who got his milk bottle taken from him. Shut up and stop bitching. We got the living shit beat out of us and all people can do is cry about how the Pats are classless. |
Re: Classless Coach Belichick
We're all upset the team lost, but let's stop with the personal attacks.

Re: Classless Coach Belichick
When it's 4th down and you up by 38 or more points late in the game why not kick the FG? Going for it there is classless and disrespectful. Gibbs wouldn't do it. As several others have mentioned it will come back to get them. On the other hand the Patriots destroyed us physically and mentally. The rag tag right side of our OL is horrid. Samuels isn't playing well. Vrabel got around Wade, Sellers and Portis to force one of those fumbles. Just pathetic uninspired play. Sad. I can only pray we bounce back next week or things will get a whole lot worse. For now keep our heads up. Screw the Patriots, Classless Bellichek and cockyass Brady. Man I haven't disliked a team this much since Deion played for the Cowboys. Tomorrow we start working on the Jets...

Re: Classless Coach Belichick
Come on, coaches have the perogative to do what ever they want. The Art of War, I think that might be more along with his philosophy. What else is he supposed to do we could not stop it and played down right mistake filled football. We are disappointed as fans of our team we love and we have to realize that until we are able to correct these mistakes and keep our offensive line healthy we will continue to have these problems. Remember the fact that the effort level was not as prevalent after awhile as I think our defense was exhausted and we started to landslide. If anything this will serve as a powerful reminder that we have a lot of work to do as a team to compete at the level of a team that does not make many if any mistakes and is continuing to get ready by the week. If we want to get better we have to commit less mistakes and take a page out of the Patriots book and operate on all cylinders as well as "EXECUTE" which is something that the Patriots (especially) and the Colts do better than anyone else in the league. To be honest I think that this "embarrasment" will serve us better in the long run as we will hopefully unlike last week (although we won) will not be able to compete with the elite until we are able to fix/correct these mistakes. They are costly and could derail our season. We have all of the components necessary to make a run and can compete with the best if we learn a valuable lesson from this experience! :) Hopefully we finally will!!!!

Zero confidence seems not to have started with the team. When interviewed earlier this week, Gibbs told a reporter, "If you have answers to winnning against the Pats, leave them here." Or something to that effect. Talk about a tone-setter. |
Re: Classless Coach Belichick
Belichick did exactly what he should have done. When a team self-destucts on the field of battle the opposition has absolutely no obligation to slow down. If the Skins had an opportunity to do this it would have been the right thing to do as well, but I think we all know that's not how it would play out. Hence the difference between teams with a killer instinct and teams without one. Belichick is a guy I respected but never liked. After today I respect him a little more.
God Bless you. Bill did not run up the score. Its up to those guys on defense that get paid millions of dollars to not allow that to happen. I don't care if its 50-0 going into the 4th quarter. Tom Brady and the rest get paid millions of dollars to play. Their fans want to see them and deserve to see them play the whole game. When the QB change happened what did the skins do? Let the qb run in for a freaking score. What did the skins overpaid offense do jack shi*. |

Re: Classless Coach Belichick
I feel like if they are going to run up the score we should have let them and started going after their season by all out blitzing brady, then they would take his ass out earlier

I so recall the faint grumblings, in the stands, from Cowboy fans that Gibbs ran up the score after the 35-7 game in Dec 2005. |

What's your point that they were not playing the Patriots? |
