Typical. What kind of a-hole double parks his car and then berates the parking attendent? It's just little things like that. If anyone gets a chance go to washingtonpost.com and read today's article about LLoyd. All I have to say about Lloyd is shut up and ball. |

All recievers drop balls. I am glad someone shows disgust in the way the Redskins are playing.

Re: What was the LLoyd vs ARE arguement about at the end of the game?
Why would anyone expect these two wr's to put up big numbers here , when they have not done it in Sf and Pittsburgh ? Loyd is only good for a few deep passes a year , and R El averaged around 35 catches / year . They screwed up trading a 3rd and 4th for loyd .

Isn't that like the pot calling the kettle black? Lloyd has made as many good plays as he has bad ones.....just like the rest of the team. It would be one thing if he was just getting pissed at himself, but it sounds like he's venting on teammates. |

The security officer stood his ground and the end result was Lloyd moving his car to a secluded parking space, next to the fence. I guess he has little trust in his fellow teammates; as they're the only ones allowed to park in that section. (Unless he's the "whistle-blower" behind Friends article.) Needless to say, there was probably 300 fans who witnessed the ordeal. A few spectators cracked jokes, saying that his car must be on a lease program and based on the teams preformance this year, he can't afford to pay for any scratches. |
If SF was so worried about getting rid of bad character guys, then why did
they sign Antonio Bryant? I think questioning Lloyd's character at this point is a little premature.
I didn't say they were worried about character guys. Every team has some headcases. All I said was that they wanted LLoyd and Barlow gone. Perhaps A. Bryant is a hard worker and a good locker room guy who just pops off once in a while. Perhaps SF believes Barlow is more talented than LLoyd Who knows? |
Exactly how many passes get thrown his way? I gotta disagree here. It's not his fault we don't have anyone to get the ball to him. I can recall one, maybe two he has dropped.
Lloyd through Week 13: Looks = 53 Receptions = 20 Catch % = 38% Sure, not ALL of them were drops, but quite a few were and some can also be attributed to missing routes, not being able to get open or miscommunication that could be his fault or the QBs, or both. In comparison, Santana Moss this year (with the same QBs): Looks = 71 Receptions = 41 Catch % = 58% Cooley (who we know has been dropping passes): Looks = 67 Receptions = 37 Catch % = 55% Randel El (who gets a lot of handoffs instead of passes): Looks = 39 Receptions = 22 Catch % = 56% Ladell Betts (receiving): Looks = 47 Receptions = 40 Catch % = 85% As you can see, Lloyd's catch % is WAY below everyone else's. It can't be the QB's problem because everyone else is about equal, except for Betts because most of his passes are shorter since he's coming out of the backfield. Re: What was the LLoyd vs ARE arguement about at the end of the game?
Buster, how do you factor in things like if the ball was headed in Lloyd's direction but sailed out of bounds, or was intercepted before it got to him? Those would count as looks right, but shouldn't as drops I don't think.

Re: What was the LLoyd vs ARE arguement about at the end of the game?
Even Brunell had a pissed look on his face several weeks back when he threw to Loyd & he didn't adjust to the ball. It looked like MB was mad that he didn't complete the route.
Good route running is hard work & often requires precision on the part of wr & qb. Speed & hands get wr's into the nfl, but route running separates the good ones from the rest. I just don't think Loyd looks like he's in sync w/coverages & his responsiblities. Maybe a yr. in the system will change that. |

I remember alot of misthrows-maybe he is not running good routes but it looks as though these throws are one hopping to him or over his head. It seems like whenever we throw to him good things happen. There was a thread a few weeks ago that eluded to this, i believe. It just doesn't seem like Lloyd gets many catchable balls his way. |

No, I stated that I know they're not ALL drops...but we can't possibly think that both Brunell and Campbell are only throwing bad balls to Lloyd. Moss is even smaller than he is, I believe, so that can't be an issue with overthrows. The stat that he's only catching about half of the throws of everyone else is just alarming. It CAN'T be a fluke. |

Oh ok. I missed that part of it. Thanks |
Re: What was the LLoyd vs ARE arguement about at the end of the game?
He is our downfield guy, he only get midrange and deep looks, while moss and randle el get a lot more short balls, so the % may be skewed, but still, very bad % on his part.

Out of curiosity, do you know what this stat is for Thrash? (Patten hasn't played enough to be of interest.)
