Pretty funny how after the Indy game people were leaving the Giants for dead, Coughlin was going to get fired after the season, etc. Now everyone is falling all over them. It's a long season.

Stay medium folks. (Hate to quote Zorn but that line is probably the only thing he said that made sense.)

I get the feeling the Giants go through this every year.

Did you see the stat that Eli is 20-4 in October. That is pretty crazy.

I'll have to say the Giants look pratty dam good right now and Eli is playing lights out. He even looks like his brother when he is behind center.

Glad we don't have to play them in October. :)

Fact of the matter is, the Giants are getting things together and right when they have an easier stretch in their schedule than the Redskins do. They can very easily be 8-2 before we know it and the Redskins are entering a very tough schedule after the bye. While I believe the Giants are beatable, they are still a very good team and one you do not want getting ahead in the division. While the second place team in the NFC East might make the playoffs, you can't count on that even if the second place team winds up 11-5.

While it is good that we pretty much don't have to worry about the Cowboys anymore (or at least at this point,) we still needed them to win to keep the Giants within reach. Yes, I know they are within reach right now, but that may not be the case after our bye week. The Redskins are really going to have to start playing better on offense if they are going to keep pace with the Giants.
I was thinking the same thing--it's quite depressing when you look up and down the WR crop in our division and see so many young guys making plays. Jason Avant and Riley Cooper also make plays for the Eagles as do Manningham and Ramses Barden for the Giants. Makes me further question why we keep old retreads like Galloway and Roydell Williams. I'm glad Banks is getting a shot now. Might as well promote Austin and see what he can do. He'll gain experience and at the very least duplicate the 0-1 catches that Galloway gives us a game...
to that end, and i believe key johnson said before last nights game, that they invested heavily into an already deep position of wide receiver with the 1st round selection of dez bryant, the resigning of austin and the draft pick given up to get roy wiliams.

just like the ravens sports radio guys have been saying that the ravens decision to invest their top picks on offense at the expense of the defense over the years (oher, grubbs, flacco, rice) and FA and trade acquisitions (birk, boldin, stallworth) has left them with lil relative depth on defense since they lost key players (scott, leonhard).

the only key defensive acquisition the ravens made was foxworth (and resigning lewis and suggs).

so i guess what im saying is the boys have loaded up on receivers at the expense of adding an O lineman or defensive player. it seems they certainly could use a high draft pick O lineman or safety more so than a 3rd wide receiver at this point.

and the ravens D is not what it used to be, this has been predicted and foreshadowed pretty intelligently by the baltimore talking heads for the past 2 years.

it should be interesting to see how the boys utilize their FA spending and draft picks in the next 2 years. another wr, te or rb should not be an option.

And I will also add that it takes about 6 - 8 games to really see how good a team is going to be that season. The second half of the season is usually what separates the contenders from the pretenders. I think we are seeing that the Giants could possibly still be considered contenders despite their lackluster performance in the beginning.

My fellow Redskins brethren..you all need to relax a bit on the Giants 5-2 record.

The Giants under Coughlin have gone 5-2 or better, the last 7 seasons I believe...That's just their "MO".

What the Giants need to avoid,is what they do quite often with the exception to their 07' SB run...(which if you remember..they were a wildcard team at 9-7 and 6th seed, from that usual hot start)

Is they tend to fold after a hot start.
It's just what they do...

There's no reason to believe the same can't happen again with 5 games remaining in the division,a game @Seattle at Quest field,@ Green bay,@Vikings and so on...

Actually, with their HOT start and 4 game winning streak and rolling...I think their BYE came at the worst time...They actually have to wait 2 weeks to play again and cool off...

Now that doesn't mean they can't go 12-4 or whatever, but there's still a lot aof football guys...

We beat the Lions this weekend and this Division gets very interesting:)

HTTR!!

It was tough even watching that game. I was hoping homo wasn't to hurt to finish the game so he could come back for the win but then on the winning play get crushed again and be on IR for the rest of the season. I think that would have been best for us lol
