What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?

I know we can't root for the Cowboys ever -- but what's best for our Redskins, the 'Girls at 2-4 or the Gnats at 4-3?

Or would a tie be best?

Tie would probably be the worst. It'd be nice to be tied for first but looking more long term I'd rather see the Cowboys pushed further away from the pack.

It's a tight race, not only in the division but in the conference and the fewer teams we're competing with at the end the better.

So Go Giants!

A cowboys loss is better, on paper they are more talented and if they get on a roll...

I would love to see them lose and have them just fade away, especially with a tough schedule ahead for them.

Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?

Does anybody get that '07 feeling when talking about the Giants this season? That "early season bad start, then dominant defense with a decent game managing-to-elite qb blessed with awesome wideout and good offensive line takes them on a SB run" feeling? That's the feeling I get when I think about the Giants.

I know it'd be great to have the Cowboys at 1-5 and one step closer to being out of the race, but at the same time I feel like propelling the Giants to 5-2 will be one step closer to making them the best team in the NFC this year as well.

As far as standings/records go, each outcome has its' own plusses and minuses. The one thing I def. don't want is a tie, because then the Giants don't fall to 4-3 and the Cowboys don't get to 1-5. I'd hate to have the 4-2-1 Giants and the 1-4-1 Cowboys, because that outcome sucks.

You hit the nail on the head. I dont care if the Cowboys were fighting to save our planet i'd still root against them.

Hmm, interesting point...if the cowboys lose tonight they are pretty much out of the race and they're one less team to worry about rather than them being just a game or two behind all the way to the end. I changed my mind, I hope the Cowboys lose tonight.

giants. easy.

if we take care of OUR BUSINESS that's all that matters.

nothing would arouse me more than the giants putting the final nail in the cowboys coffin... that and comic sans.

The next best thing in sports to a Redskins win is a Cowgirls loss. Go Giants!

Dallas can NEVER win.

I'm not rooting for the Giants to win...just for Dallas to lose.

We'll handle the Giants on our own. Twice. We don't need Dallas to help...or get back into things. Let them get kicked while they're down. Bury them...let chaos ensue...especially since Jones claims he won't fire Wade during the season. This could be fun to watch.

Re: Redskins

Well if Dallas don't blow this game by shooting themselves in the foot like they have been doing all season, then it will be good for us. But I expect them to beat themselves again.

Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?

I've been weighing this for quite some time...

A Cowboys loss and they are finished, period.
Not because they are 1-5,but because they are 1-5 and still have Saints,@G.B.,@Colts,2 games against Philly and another against the @Giants and oh..yea..they still get us 1 more time. 8 EXTREMELY tough games....they will lose 4 of those at best. which is 8-8 at best for them.
And that's assuming they can beat the cardinals on the road (who beat saints),the Lions at home,Jags at home.

A Giants loss and the redskins are the only team undefeated in the division. All other 3 with 1 loss in division and skins 2-0. And we are back in 1st with a 4-3 record.
But then Dallas gets to see a little daylight...

My brother is a Giants fan and we get to hate the Cowboys together and hope both our teams make the playoffs.

So my heart says that I want the Giants to kick the living hell out of the cowboys as we can officially bury the Cowboys for good....

But my brain tells me,that a Giants loss will help the redskins towards the end of the season in some way or another.

Either way..the redskins have nothing to lose, in this game tonight.

Dallas loses and they are a bit closer to firing Wade and officially giving up on this year, going into all of the uncertainty that a new regime brings... maybe it's enough to cause Jerrah to do something mid-season. One can only hope. Go Giants!
