They should consider it, and I for one am still undecided one way or the other.

They have them in hotels, airports, and in DC's subway system. They arent everywhere like they used to be but they arent extinct either. You just have to know where to find them.

I just heard that extra points have a success rate of 99.1% since 2004.

So again why is anyone objectively against changing up a play that's become almost automatic?

What's the success rate for FGs under 30 yds?

I don't know, but it's probably not 99.1%

No way is it 99.1% but I'm wondering what the threshold is for automatic. Is it 98%, 95%, 90%? If a play is almost always successful maybe when a team is faced with running that play they could just declare their intentions and its done. It would spped the game along and definitely add more time in the game for other less successful and more exciting, consequencial plays.

Or just get rid of the less consequential plays altogether and replace them with something more exciting! ;)

Now now. According to some you can't just change the game to make it more exciting.
saw an interesting suggestion, put a narrower set of post right behind the current ones. and xp's would need to go through them. not quite sure of the logistics but it is an interesting/out of the box idea
Arena Football goalposts!

Here's an idea...use the playground concept of "Make it take it".

You score a TD, you get the ball AGAIN from your own 20. This continues until the D stops you. No more punts. You must go for it on 4th down and surrender the ball when you don't make it. Then, the other team gets to try to go on a scoring spree. Heck, lets take out kickoffs too. Game starts on the 20. If you go 4 and out, your defense better step up. You hold them to a FG and you can have the ball back on the 20 but if you give up a TD, they get the ball again with 80 yards to go.

This would have absolutely buried our 2013 team because of our defense. It would be fun to watch Peyton Manning play this way though.

On a serious note, I've always wanted FGs to be scored by distance.

39 and under yards = 3 points
40-49 = 4 points
50+ = 6 points

Can there be exceptions to the rules for Denver?
No one could objectively be against eliminating the PAT. It is literally useless in terms of entertainment. Being against it would simply be a grumpy old man type fear of change.
So make it a 40 yard kick, like they were saying on PTI - don't eliminate it make it more exciting.
