What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
I know we can't root for the Cowboys ever -- but what's best for our Redskins, the 'Girls at 2-4 or the Gnats at 4-3?
Or would a tie be best? |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Tie would probably be the worst. It'd be nice to be tied for first but looking more long term I'd rather see the Cowboys pushed further away from the pack.
It's a tight race, not only in the division but in the conference and the fewer teams we're competing with at the end the better. So Go Giants! |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
A cowboys loss is better, on paper they are more talented and if they get on a roll...
I would love to see them lose and have them just fade away, especially with a tough schedule ahead for them. |

Go GMEN

Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Does anybody get that '07 feeling when talking about the Giants this season? That "early season bad start, then dominant defense with a decent game managing-to-elite qb blessed with awesome wideout and good offensive line takes them on a SB run" feeling? That's the feeling I get when I think about the Giants.
I know it'd be great to have the Cowboys at 1-5 and one step closer to being out of the race, but at the same time I feel like propelling the Giants to 5-2 will be one step closer to making them the best team in the NFC this year as well. As far as standings/records go, each outcome has its' own plusses and minuses. The one thing I def. don't want is a tie, because then the Giants don't fall to 4-3 and the Cowboys don't get to 1-5. I'd hate to have the 4-2-1 Giants and the 1-4-1 Cowboys, because that outcome sucks. |

I changed my mind, I hope the Cowboys lose tonight. |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
giants. easy.
if we take care of OUR BUSINESS that's all that matters. nothing would arouse me more than the giants putting the final nail in the cowboys coffin... that and comic sans. |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
The next best thing in sports to a Redskins win is a Cowgirls loss. Go Giants!
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Dallas can NEVER win.
I'm not rooting for the Giants to win...just for Dallas to lose. We'll handle the Giants on our own. Twice. We don't need Dallas to help...or get back into things. Let them get kicked while they're down. Bury them...let chaos ensue...especially since Jones claims he won't fire Wade during the season. This could be fun to watch. |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Eli Manning is my home boy today.
|
Re: Redskins
Well if Dallas don't blow this game by shooting themselves in the foot like they have been doing all season, then it will be good for us. But I expect them to beat themselves again.
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
The last thing I EVER, EVER, EVER want to see is a Super Bowl in Dallas.....that the Cowpukes are playing in.
Go Giants!!!!! F Dall-ass!!!!!! |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
I've been weighing this for quite some time...
A Cowboys loss and they are finished, period. Not because they are 1-5,but because they are 1-5 and still have Saints,@G.B.,@Colts,2 games against Philly and another against the @Giants and oh..yea..they still get us 1 more time. 8 EXTREMELY tough games....they will lose 4 of those at best. which is 8-8 at best for them. And that's assuming they can beat the cardinals on the road (who beat saints),the Lions at home,Jags at home. A Giants loss and the redskins are the only team undefeated in the division. All other 3 with 1 loss in division and skins 2-0. And we are back in 1st with a 4-3 record. But then Dallas gets to see a little daylight... My brother is a Giants fan and we get to hate the Cowboys together and hope both our teams make the playoffs. So my heart says that I want the Giants to kick the living hell out of the cowboys as we can officially bury the Cowboys for good.... But my brain tells me,that a Giants loss will help the redskins towards the end of the season in some way or another. Either way..the redskins have nothing to lose, in this game tonight. |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Dallas loses and they are a bit closer to firing Wade and officially giving up on this year, going into all of the uncertainty that a new regime brings... maybe it's enough to cause Jerrah to do something mid-season. One can only hope. Go Giants!
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Of course whether the Cowboys suck or not doesn't matter when we play each other. I wouldn't count on them folding when we go to Dallas late in the season.
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
The Redskins control their own destiny and we're looking pretty good in terms of conference and divisional wins. The way the NFC is shaping up, three teams from the NFC East could realistically make the playoffs.
So yeah, I'm hoping for a Dallas loss tonight to actually put more pressure on the Skins by chasing the Giants and keeping something in front of them, instead of looking down at the Cowboys who probably won't make it even if they win tonight. |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
0-0 tie, or cowboys win...unfortunately for us the giants d-line is gonna take a massive dump on romo while he is trying to hide behind that joke Dallas calls their o-line.
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
I'd just like to watch the two teams beat the crap out of each other for 60min.
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Only one of the ESPN MNF brodcasters picked the Giants. The media is still riding the jock of the cowboys hard. :spank:
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
A rash of injuries.... I dont really care much at all. Just to see a decent football game I guess. May just watch a movie!

Well they are up by 10 after two minutes into the game. |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
I want to see the cowboys lose. It would be much easier to just plan how to beat two other teams instead of everyone still being within firing distance to the last week.
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
The Giants need to lose to force a three way tie. A Giants win makes them 5-2 in the conference (one of the best records in the conference), sole possession of the NFC East at this point, and the Redskins looking at a tough schedule after the bye week. The Giants' schedule in the coming weeks isn't nearly as bad as ours. Dallas is not going to sniff the NFC East title this year, so them winning tonight is not going to hurt us at all.
As much as I hate to say it, you have to pull for the Cowboys tonight. It is the best thing for the Redskins while our team is struggling. |

If the Giants receivers caught the ball it would be 7-0 Giants. It's 10-7 now....games aren't decided in the 1st two minutes. |

Well Romo may have just dislocated his shoulder or broke his collarbone.... |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Put a fork on the cowboys, they are done for the year, Romo out (broken clavicle).

Not anymore. There's a whole lot of football left, but the New York Giants are looking downright dominant. Unless things really start to click for us offensively, I wouldn't expect much of a battle between us and them. We have a long way to go before we'd be competitive with them. |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Schefter is saying broken collarbone, which normally means out 8-10 weeks. Other reports are saying broken clavicle, which could mean 4-6 weeks. Which is it?
Btw how bad are the Cowboys that they had a 20-7 lead and when it went into halftime it's 24-20 Giants? Bad enough that I doubt they win this game. Giants gonna be 5-2, Cowboys gonna be 1-5 and Romo will be out for at least a month. Ouch. |

I'll bet Schefter did a little more digging and he probably got it right. |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
I will say that Hakeem Nicks is one of the few that I've seen in college and gotten right as far as knowing he was going to be huge as a pro.

Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Giants are on their way to a rout.... so we better bring our A game to Detroit next week
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Cowboys are a defeated team. They have no heart.
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
I would say a cowboys win *washes mouth out with soap* but romo won't be the same
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
Wait I forgot to add my traditional dramatics....Romo got semi'd he's gonna want the licence on that
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
IT wouldn't surprise me at all if we beat the Giants twice this year
|
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
who knew we would play the colts tight, beat the packers, cowboys, and philly. Should have beat Houston. I can't believe some would count of us out of a game at all this year. We are dangerous. Just ask anyteam we play.
Jim Cladwell even said as much last week after the game. He didnt say we had a good team. He said we are a very very very good football team. This is much different then just normal coach speak. DO NOT EVER COUNT THIS TEAM OUT! |
Re: What's better for the Skins tonight -- A Cowboys or Giants win?
This kills Dallas, and with Romo down, maybe for more than this season also. They have to replace that old ass line, Witten isn't getting any younger, and Bryant hasn't shown me squat yet. Their RBs suck also, especially behind that line. Romo isn't going to get the job done for them, so they need to draft a QB. By the time they get it straight Romo will be past his prime, if he even had a prime. Guy should have worked on improving his skills and not banging Jessica Simpson.

Romo's got a new girlfriend. He and Jessica broke up a long time ago. |
