Among them: Kicker Ty Long; offensive linemen Bryce Quigley and Willie Smith; tight ends Chase Dixon, Devin Mahina and Ernst Brun; cornerbacks Trey Wolfe, Tajh Hasson, Bryan McCann and DreQuan Hoskey; linebackers Alonzo Highsmith and Dyshawn Davis; and wide receiver Tony Jones

Im guessing/hoping we pick up a decent LT made avail through late cuts for cap reasons.

I wonder what we do with Rashad Ross. Guy was solid this preseason, and I doubt he'd last on a practice group roster. Heard an excellent point on NFL radio this AM, however -- you want to be a team that cuts good players. If you are, it should say a lot about the quality of the depth on your squad. Wouldn't it be nice.....

I hope we can play special teams, we need young speedy guys that are hungry to make plays.

Re: Roster cuts

So Willie Smith, who started in the Detroit preseason game and helped get RGIII clobbered, is cut.

Not buying the conspiracy kool-aide, but, damn, your supposed starting QB is being protected by a guy who can't make the first cut. Just like it's hard to judge others when RGIII screws up badly, I would suggest its hard to judge RGIII fairly when protected by guys who will be bagging groceries this weekend.

Lorenzo Alexander got cut in Arz. We need ST help...this guy takes Heyward's spot.

Loved the one-man-gang. However, he is 32 and coming off a lis franc injury. I know our ST's suffered some losses, but I would rather find the next Lorenzo Alexander than try to recapture the first.

Normally I feel like you are the voice of reason, but I'm with JoeRedskin on this one. I'd rather have the next 'Zo than the 32 year old, coming off a major injury 'Zo. However the latter might be a suitable 1 year replacement until we find the next 'Zo.

Lotta conspiracy theories floating around these days, but wouldn't it be crazy if they intentionally started Big Willie Style so RG3 would look terrible and further their argument to Dan that RG3 needs to go? It's brilliant!

You are not going to find the next Zo this year (he's not on the roster) you might as well bring the original Zo for the rest of this year. He would be a valuable asset as a leader and his ST play.

I see where you're going here.

Sneaky bastards somehow convinced RG3 to call the wrong protection at the line and let a LB harpoon him like Moby Dick.

This level of treason cannot stand.

This isn't Nam, there are rules.

Re: Roster cuts

since paul and heyward are out for the year, using zo as a 1 year rental might be okay... is he any good though? or was he just not playing up to rhe insane contract they gave him? I haven't been paying attention to the cards, so i don't know why he's cut.
