Re: Roster cuts
Among them: Kicker Ty Long; offensive linemen Bryce Quigley and Willie Smith; tight ends Chase Dixon, Devin Mahina and Ernst Brun; cornerbacks Trey Wolfe, Tajh Hasson, Bryan McCann and DreQuan Hoskey; linebackers Alonzo Highsmith and Dyshawn Davis; and wide receiver Tony Jones
Thirteen players missing from Redskins practice as roster cuts loom | CSN Mid-Atlantic Im guessing/hoping we pick up a decent LT made avail through late cuts for cap reasons. |

Re: Roster cuts
So Willie Smith, who started in the Detroit preseason game and helped get RGIII clobbered, is cut.
Not buying the conspiracy kool-aide, but, damn, your supposed starting QB is being protected by a guy who can't make the first cut. Just like it's hard to judge others when RGIII screws up badly, I would suggest its hard to judge RGIII fairly when protected by guys who will be bagging groceries this weekend.

Re: Roster cuts
Loved the one-man-gang. However, he is 32 and coming off a lis franc injury. I know our ST's suffered some losses, but I would rather find the next Lorenzo Alexander than try to recapture the first.

Re: Roster cuts
Normally I feel like you are the voice of reason, but I'm with JoeRedskin on this one. I'd rather have the next 'Zo than the 32 year old, coming off a major injury 'Zo. However the latter might be a suitable 1 year replacement until we find the next 'Zo.

Re: Roster cuts
You are not going to find the next Zo this year (he's not on the roster) you might as well bring the original Zo for the rest of this year. He would be a valuable asset as a leader and his ST play.

Re: Roster cuts
Lotta conspiracy theories floating around these days, but wouldn't it be crazy if they intentionally started Big Willie Style so RG3 would look terrible and further their argument to Dan that RG3 needs to go? It's brilliant!
That's the phrase I was looking for......lol
