Gibbs Press Conference:
did he say something solid either way about benching Brunell?
|
Re: Gibbs Press Conference:
Didn't he say after the game that Mark Brunell had an awesome game? I don't think he would bench him after saying that.
|
Re: Gibbs Press Conference:
He clearly said he would not be benching Brunell from what I heard.
|
Re: Gibbs Press Conference:
Anyone hoping for a Brunell benching is getting their hopes up. Campbell will not touch the field until they are eliminated from the playoffs (barring injury).

Re: Gibbs Press Conference:
One of the things Gbbs said when asked about the offseason changes to the decision making structure, especially about Al Saunders:
"You can't go back in life... we put a lot of thought into that... sometimes in life you don't get what you want... but to me, you can't go back. I think those decisions were made the right way; they were made for the right reasons..." He does say around this part that he thinks Al can "help" the team, but it sure seems vague and not like a vote of confidence to me. Doesn't it mean something very significant that he didn't say it was the right decision to have Saunders make the play calls... only that the decision was made the right WAY, and for the right REASONS; but he didn't say it was RIGHT. Big difference!! Thoughts? |

Give him Trent Green, then decide if it is his fault. |
Re: Gibbs Press Conference:
How bad must Jason Campbell be in the meetings and on the practice field and how damaging is this for his confidence that he can't get in the game. I figure it's not too far away now for him to get in there because the booing is about to get really harsh, but I think 99.9% of anyone who covers football in any way is wondering why Gibbs is sticking with brunell. It makes no sense anymore. It's just so darn confusing? No way Brunell makes it past Philly twice, Dallas, Carolina, Atlanta, Tampa. There is no way.

Re: Gibbs Press Conference:
there is away....................its just how far your willing to go
Now listen closely alls we have to do is sneek up on Peyton Manning when hes sleeping and using dark magic, make him look like Mark Brunnel and Mark Brunnel look like Peyton Manning |
Re: Gibbs Press Conference:
Ugh, I guess it will get even worse before Joe considers trying to make it better.

Re: Gibbs Press Conference:
Mark didn't play a bad game in my opinion. But as always, benching the quarterback helps the defense play better. Yeah...that makes sense.

That has to be the most ridiculous and idiotic statement ever. We want Brunell benched because he is not the future, and because it seems he cannot throw more than 5 yards. If we let Jason Campbell play the last nine games, he has great chance of improving, especially with the challenging teams coming up. The defense is less complicated to fix (just change up the DB's in the Offseason). Lets face it, this season is in the toilet, no miracle runs to the playoffs this year. Might as well invest the remaining nine games in the future, which is clearly Jason Campbell. |

Now that's the most ridiculous and idiotic statement I have ever heard. Apparently you must only tune into the game when the team is on offense. My 7 year old niece and tackle alot better than what I've been seeing. |
Re: Gibbs Press Conference:
Relax SkinsGuy, and atomicnixon, there really isnt a need for you to say idiotic and all that.

But for the record I agree with you about the D, and how that is a greater issue. I still want Campbell in, but if I had a choice, do something about the D. |

That's my point too....I'm looking forward to seeing what Campbell can do...but even if Campbell comes in and plays like Superman, it isn't going to fix our defense's problems, and I don't believe our defense's problems should be down played any. |
