It has more to do with his release time than anything. He doesn't get the ball out fast and ends up getting sacked a lot.
In 2017, he ranked 16th in average time to throw.

In 2022, he's even worse. Much worse. Week 2 he was sitting at slightly over 3 seconds. This is why his career is tanking. He's simply holding the ball too long.
Yes, you'll need mobility if you continue to hold the ball that long. It's not needed if you can get the ball out faster.
If you got QBs that hold the ball too long, you'll need a stud OL to keep him upright most of the game.
