Re: Around the NFL WK 12
Wilson has fallen off a cliff. The grass isn't greener in Denver.
Matt Ryan is just so slow. He can still throw short and mid range when he has time but that's it. The lack of mobility just kills him. Pickett is looking more and more like he is going to be the Steelers starter for a long time. |

Re: Around the NFL WK 12
Apparently not. Saw one of his teammates went off on him yesterday. Crazy story. When is Hackett getting fired? Someone told me recently that LaFleur called plays for GB last year not Hackett. Rough year for Denver and that Wilson contract is going to hamstring them for a while.

It has more to do with his release time than anything. He doesn't get the ball out fast and ends up getting sacked a lot. In 2017, he ranked 16th in average time to throw. https://www.ajc.com/sports/matt-ryan...SwmpJVJhD7SxN/ ![]() In 2022, he's even worse. Much worse. Week 2 he was sitting at slightly over 3 seconds. This is why his career is tanking. He's simply holding the ball too long. ![]() Yes, you'll need mobility if you continue to hold the ball that long. It's not needed if you can get the ball out faster. If you got QBs that hold the ball too long, you'll need a stud OL to keep him upright most of the game.
