Actually, it went in more of an oval around the sun. That's what did it in, the old style elite (the "classic planets") couldn't cope with Pluto (or P.O. as it likes to called) doing its own thing and they kicked it out. It really got a raw deal - it played hard, it got itself a moon or three. So what if it didn't orbit like the other planets? On game day it would show up. But nooooo, they just couldn't hack it. Their way or the highway. Pluto, however, knows what's best for Pluto - just ask the special astronomers that Pluto had shipped in to argue its case.
Just another case of the man keeping him down. No worries itself, Pluto loves itself some Pluto. It will just find some other solar system that can appreciate it specialness.
