Reed Doughty- Showed some promise last year, but I am not sold on him being a starter. I think Doughty is more suited for a backup role.
Vernon Fox- Career special teams player. Decent backup safety.
Pierson Prioleau- Free Agent that will probably follow GW to Jacksonville.
Omar Stoutmire- Free Agent who is 33 years old, and likely to be gone.
So if Prioleau, and Stoutmire depart that leaves us with 3 safeties two of whom (Doughty,Fox) probably are not starting caliber safeties in this leauge. Even if Doughty was able to prove himself and start this year we would still need to add at least one more safety for depth. So I think either way you look at it we need to address the safety position.

And the O-line isn't an issue? All of our starters are over 30 and we'll likely need 2 new starters within the next year or so. The D-line is also an issue, with Daniels getting into his mid-30s and Griffin on the decline. We also have needs at WR, LB and CB. I'd love a nice new safety, but we have needs at other positions of greater importance.
