More signs the world is coming to an end (Peter King news)

Last week, Peter King said his mind was open to the idea of Art Monk entering the Hall.

This week (specifically here) he said the following flattering things about the Redskins - emphasis mine:

PLAY JASON CAMPBELL. NOW. From Charles of Birmingham, Ala.: "What do you think the Redskins should do concerning Jason Campbell? He clearly has talent but it seems they don't want to give him legitimate snaps.''

Well, you know Joe Gibbs is a veteran-loving guy. But he picked Campbell in the first round for a reason -- he loves the kid's potential. I do too. I remember sitting in Phil Simms' office in northern New Jersey 16 months ago looking at the quarterbacks in the 2005 draft. And I remember thinking: Campbell's the best guy out there. If I were Gibbs, I would give him an equal shot in training camp. I don't think that's going to happen. I think Mark Brunell will have to be a C-minus quarterback this summer for Campbell to get a real shot to play early in the season.

Since Alex Smith and Aaron Rodgers were supposed to be dueling for the top pick, that's rare praise. Perhaps revisionist history, but I'll take my love where I can get it (which may be why my marriage works so well).
