Blown opportunities
The Redskins were given a vast amount of chances today and really squandered them. The D kept us in it with Landry and key tackles. However, dropped balls which was key when we got the kick off recovery by mix. Cooley dropped a very catchable ball on the one. A TD there would have but us up by 8 with around 9 to go. The game in my opinion would have over.. the seahawks most likely would have been drained by another TD. The missed FG ridiculous by a professional.. pressure or not its 30 yards. Moss giving up on a route very upsetting but we shouldn't have thrown so deep on the first play. Costly penalties, especially on Mike Sellers the block in the back. It was a great season, and a magical ride. Can't wait till next year.

Re: Blown opportunities
Season is over get over it, we over achieved and had a great comeback season. Suisham's missed field goal was a momentum changer but the TD hasselbeck threw to Burleson, Priloeau was burnt.

Re: Blown opportunities
I'm just not in the mood to hear any whining from anyone, we played a game made mistakes, our OL got outplayed and we lost as simple as that. Don't take it personal.

Re: Blown opportunities
We at least got to see that Landry could at least come close to the expectations we had for Taylor. He'll never be ST, but at least we can see a little of him in Landry.

Overachieved...that is a bunch of BS. If ST was here to interview, he would tell you that the Skins didn't play to their talent level and let one go tonight. Bottom line is there are still seven teams left that have a chance to go to the superbowl in the NFC, and none of them are better than the Skins. |

1) There are five teams 2) Each team beat the Skins at least once this year. We are/were a better team than the Giants. The three most talented teams in the NFC are Dallas, Green Bay, and Tampa Bay, and the fourth most talented team, Seattle, did just put a pretty good licking on us. So at best, we are the 5th best team in our own conference.

Re: Blown opportunities
I've got a ? for someone..............On the kickoff after we went up 14-13. Why can a player return a onside kick for a TD. However, on that kickoff our player picks up the ball and runs it in but it is ruled down at the point of touching?

The score was inflated by meaningless TD's, but you can't ignore that the Seahawks beat the crap out of us for three quarters. Some really crazy stuff happened there and we were able to come back, but that's all we could do. Football is a 60 minute game, and tonight, we won about 3 minutes worth of football. Inflated score aside, that was not our best game, and Seattle is pretty solidly a better team than we are. Yeah the Bucs, Packers, and Cowboys squeaked by, but I'm not sure thats a good argument: "Three elite teams won close games against us...obviously we are the best of the four." Actually, I'm pretty sure that's a horrible argument. We aren't that far off, and are probably closer to the elite than the rest of the pack is to us. We aren't better.

Re: Blown opportunities
We are out of the playoffs. There is nothing to complain about. It ain't gonna change the results. We just gotta correct our mistakes next season. We gotta finish games in the 2nd half.

Had Burleson dropped the ball, it could have been returned for a TD. An onside kick also cannot be returned if the receiving team does not touch it.
