Re: Larry Johnson on the trading block?
This is old news. I have a funny story about this rumor from last week.
About four or five days ago while I was sitting at bar, I had of all people, a Cowboy fan, tell me they had just traded for Larry Johnson in exchange for a second round pick. He swore up and down he heard it on ESPN earlier that day. I responded, dude, no f*ckn way! Not for a second round pick, and not to the Cowboys! So I go, hey, if this is true I'll buy a round of shots for you and your boy "Lurch" (dude was ugly!) So everyone breaks out their BlackBerries (I'm a poor guy, so I don't own one!) and started looking on ESPN for the news.....nothing! I laughed his ass under the bar! I mean, I was loud! I think their thumbs were numb after all that damn scrolling they did. All he could do was start talking trash about how T.O. is better than Moss...blah, blah, blah.... |

Re: Larry Johnson on the trading block?
I guess I would fall into the "poor guy" category as well since I don't own one.
GM to D and 12thperson and the rest of the class. |

Re: Larry Johnson on the trading block?
Yeah, I'm sure they will trade him because the Michael Bennett, Kolby Smith duo can easily replace him. NOT!
However, If I were him I would want to be traded to a team that took care of their O-Line though. LJ is a great RB, but he won't be the same with the line they have going into this season, sorry. |

Re: Larry Johnson on the trading block?
It would be something if we traded for him in exchange for cp and picks. Since al saunders it the offensive playcaller and he knows how good LJ is. I mean with Saunders calling the plays in kc LJ had a monster year.

Re: Larry Johnson on the trading block?
for once, a rumor hits the wire & we really don't have to worry about it as we're set at rb.
Only concern I have is if he's traded in the nfc. The g-men or the iggles could use him, but only the g-men would pony up the cash he wants. Detroit has just acquired a couple backs - T. Bell & Duckett- otherwise I'd see them as suitors. Green Bay? RB is a position of need for only a few teams really. I don't know that LJ can get the contract he wants. |
