I thought Cowher had just signed an extension earlier this year...but if he does get fired I'd think Grimm has to be choice number one, or maybe Ken Whisenhunt
And I wonder if the Niners could fire Nolan and hire Cowher...wouldn't they love to

There is no way this will happen! Who would the Steelers get that would be better? Grim?? I don't think so. Cowher would have to quite not to be in Pittsburgh next year.

they NEED to fire whoever was calling the offensive plays against the Patriots. My wife who watches maybe 4 hours of football a year watched a couple of offensive series by the Steelers, and even she was predicting their plays. Just shameful !!!

Not only that... he would have to be the only coach to get fired after a 15-1 season EVER. They'd be crazy.

![]() I cannot possibly see this happening. Even the Dan wouldn't fire a guy after a 15-1 season and when he has been the coach for like 12 years. No way... |

You sure it was radio...?? There's no other explanation because that would be flat-out crazy. Not only that, I'm sure that everyone would love to know how Cowher handles a second season after being 15-1.

If he gets canned in Pittsburgh there is a very serious problem with sports today.

Well I looked around for this story on the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and this is the closest I could find
Steelers fans voice their opinions after Pittsburgh's 41-27 loss to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game last night at Heinz Field. Quote:

Of course people are still going to be pissed off only one or two days after the loss. Give it a week or two and see if they still feel the same. A lot of teams would be pretty happy getting to the conference championship game 5 times in 12 years, even if it meant losing most of them.
Not to mention that they did have a rookie QB this year. Want to disrupt his progress? Switch coaching staffs and systems on him. We Skins fans know a little about that sort of thing, don't we?!? ![]() There is absolutely NO WAY you fire a coach after a 16-2 season. |

We most definitely do. Shit, I'd be crapping my pants if we even made the PLAYOFFS this year. That way you elitist Pittsburgh fans.
