The legend of the song involves the bitches in dallas blackmailing the Skins by obtaining the rights to "Hail to the Redskins" and refusing to allow the Skins to use it unless Marshall stopped blocking the cowpies from entering the league.
Even though Marshall's wife wrote HTTR, dallas investers somehow bought the rights to it in the 60's(?) and shennanigans ensued.
