I think thats the most absured thing I've ever read on this site. As far as Frank Gore...I don't know if I'd pull the Emmitt comparision just yet. Emmitt will be remembered predomanantly for his longevity, and Gore is a second year player. He's definately justified his 65th overall pick status though.

Re: the forty niners
I love Frank Gore so much. The guy is just a monster, best RB we have ever had and will have Hearst's rushing record by the end of the season.

Re: the forty niners
He's not the sharpest tool in the shed but I agree he's a promising young back.

The niners have some young guys, a good coach, and no where to go but up.

Re: the forty niners
I said it earlier in this thread, and I'll say it again. The Niners are 2-3 players away from a Super Bowl run.

Re: the forty niners

Re: the forty niners
Alex Smith is coming on, but he's not a Super Bowl caliber QB just yet.

Haha I know. I doubt that Frank has ever read a book that didn't have things pop out of it.

Re: the forty niners
As a pure runner I think Frank is superior to Roger. I think he is a better back, but we will see if he has the better career. Hopefully!

Re: the forty niners
I agree. I hope the Alex I saw in the 4th QTR is the "real" Alex. He had been regressing lately before that so I hope this game is the end of that trend.

Re: the forty niners
Give the guy some credit. He has over come a lot in his life. There are not too many guys walking around with a college degree that have a learning disability. Plus he over came two major knee injuries. I have mad respect for Frank Gore.

Re: the forty niners
He has over came a lot. I mean he tore both ACL's, and he is this good? Holy christ. Now I really don't have to worry about him tearing them again. Gotta love "Da U" backs. Except Edge.

So Brunell pulling one game out of his ass makes him better than Andrew Walter? Great analysis on Emmitt Smith. I made the same points 2 months ago except I pointed out that it is idiotic to compare Gore to Smith. Which it is. Because of Gore's major injuries, his career numbers will not even approach Smith. He is great right now, in fact he just put up 25 in my fantasy semi-final but it is so stupid on many levels to compare him to the greatest rusher in history. |
