Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
with that said i'll add that I firmly believe that Jason Will be a great QB in the NFL...He is still growin up as it were....he needs time to mature a bit more ,like wine, he'll get better with age. All young quarterbacks have a certain amount of these type of mistakes..the future isn't right now, although i'd like it to be.

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
I don't think anyone is saying he is an elite QB at this stage. He's right where he should be as a kid-QB with 18 games under his belt. He's going to make bad decisions. It's all part of the maturation process.

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
I think the question is "Is he accountable?" The answer to that is yes, to a certain degree, but who is more accountable?
Portis and Moss. Maybe even the offensive line. Even two INTs aren't going to fix the fumbles in your own red zone. Campbell shares a bit of the responsibility because of the pick in the end zone, but he was making plays all day. Can Portis and Moss say that? (Moss...MAYBE).

Yeah I agree with the sentiments of everyone here... He is young and thus will be prone to mistakes.
I just worry...Do we have a choke artist on our hand? It is too early to tell, but I hope this trend doesn't continue. |

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
A true choke artist has no chance of making it to the NFL level. Campbell has gone a long way towards proving that he is a good quarterback and that these late game struggles will not be a trend.

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
Well he has thrown three picks now in the last minutes of the game how many times does he have to throw these picks before he learns is the question? Has he lead us to a game winning drive as our starter? I cannot think of one.

Yeah, it was the play where his headset went out and he hit Cooley for that huge touchdown pass.

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
Ok, 66yard hook up to Cooley but our O had the ball 2 more time after that TD. I'll give him credit for that but I want to see him drive us down the field (which he has done) but finish it off with a game winning TD. In the past two games he has had the chance and fail. If we look back he has had other chances to do so and did not get the job done. I very high on JC but its time he starts to turn the corner.

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
Maybe this has been brought up before in this thread but you have to start to wonder, is this how JC's career is going to play out? He makes it all the way down the field just to throw the interception. If this continues you have to start thinking its nerves and that he has a serious issue playing under pressure like that. Who knows though maybe it's a little early to call.

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
I havenīt been able to see much here in Mexico the last few weeks, but I was able to catch the end of the game while waiting for some fillings at the dentistīs office.
The only thing I ask from JC is LEARN TO PUT SOME AIR UNDER SOME OF YOUR PASSES. Iīve been asking for this for quite a while now. His last pass would not have been dangerous if he had put air under it in the corner of the endzone. Moss had position on the defender. The announcers here were saying they were able to intercept the pass only because he put it on a rope. When the receivers have position Iīd love to see him put some air under it so they can adapt to the throw. I think if he learns this he can become a very good QB. Iīm just mystified why he hasnīt learned this since this has been his major fault for many games now. |
