Tyson Jackson would be intriguing cause he can play inside and outside

Just as we took the bait and traded two draft picks each for Brandon Lloyd and T.J. Duckett. There aren't too many other teams out there that piss away as many draft choices for non-productive veterans.

KFFL - 2009 NFL Free Agents

according to this, golston and montgomery are RFA's, honestly not sure if we've since gave them an extension or not. anyways, if they are still RFA's is there any chance either can be tendered to a higher pick? otherwise if someone signed them i believe it would be a 5th and 6th round pick respectively.

addressing the OP, id probably go with an offensive or defensive lineman. Michael Johnson (DE, GT) and Eugene Monroe (OT, UVA) could be there in the middle of the first. they probably will go earlier but who knows after workouts. Id possibly even go with Maualuga from USC at linebacker as Fletcher's potential replacement when he is done or to play in washington's spot

He's an intriguing player, but I think we already have a guy like him in Demetric Evans.

Re: Draft Picture Update, Bengals Aftermath

Since we don't have a 2nd rounder, I think we need to trade down a little to try to pick up two late first rounders somehow, and get a starting RT and LG.
Honestly though, we need so much more young talent that we have the draft picks for. It's kind of sad. Almost as sad as losing to the Bengels.

We only have four. 1,3,5,6. we gave up the 2 for Taylor, the 4 for Kendall, adn the 7 for James.

Re: Draft Picture Update, Bengals Aftermath

We could have 20 picks in April and with the talent evaluators this team has, we would still screw it up!

I would rather have OLB Aaron Curry Wake Forest if he's still available by the time we pick (highly unlikely).

Vilma is a MLB, we already have a pretty damn good MLB in London Fletcher.

I have officially had it with Santana Moss. Especially after that crap he pulled in the endzone while getting spanked by the lowly Bengals.

The guy is just plain average. He gave us one good year and hasn't done squat since.

To any other team, he's a #2 wideout at best.

Alex Mack C out Cal Berkeley. He would change our OL overnight.

But for how much longer? We can't count on a guy like him year after year without seeking out his replacement -- just like we failed to do for the O-line.
