Re: Randy Thomas Risked it All!

That worries me. I think I've expressed previously this offseason that I'm concerned about Thomas. He's one wrong step away from something really bad happening.

Re: Randy Thomas Risked it All!

That pretty much explains his otherwise inexplicable inability to block in the second half of the year. He should return to form, given a successful recovery.

That is insane! I remember Smootsmack saying he thought Thomas might get an injury settlement & end his career. That is going too far, no need to play football w/an injury like that.

In a perfect world he'll come back strong, but it doesn't sound like that's what's best for him. From a football standpoint they need to find his replacement asap, but from a personal standpoint I would've never taken the field if I were in his shoes last year.

What a warrior...I mean you want to believe he's 100% like he says but if he didn't admit to the earlier situation can u really buy he's back.

Anyone should know that back and neck injuries are very critical.

I find it unconsionable that the Skins coaches & staff knew about this and still allowed him to risk his life playing. Talk about irresponsible. I dont blame RT for wanting to play but sometimes people need people to save them from themselves.

I think folks should be up in arms over the fact our FO failed to draft/acquire a legt backup in 2+ years...I mean sure it was a bad risk to play Thomas but who would have played instead? The line was and is in shambles w/o some responsible management...somehow I doubt even this will serve as a wake-up call.

Agreed. And for the people looking at this from a football perspective. It'll be like he's playing with foul trouble in the first quarter of a basketball game. Looks though like we need more line help. Surprise.

Though if this is really fixed then we might have just gotten a hell of a football player.

"The recovery was such a breeze except for that first week when I couldn't really swallow or eat a lot,?"

Ironically, knowing what I know about Randy Thomas this might have been the worst part of the whole process.

Just to play devil's advocate they did draft rhinehart in the third last year which is a good spot to take guards/centers. Its still unknown whether he will amount to anything but they did try with him. That being said one O-linemen is not adequate.

I totally agree. Furthermore, if your vertebrae has been replaced with metal plates and screws, please do your family a favor and retire. Thank you Randy, but no thank you. Pride must go before the fall.

Fabini proved that his old man skills play very well at RG. Instead, he was inactive most of the year, and finished at RT, where he was hilariously overmatched. We just didn't have anyone else.

But the "Jansen must go" crowd obviously didn't notice that the big white guy giving up all sorts of pressure against Cinci and Philly wasn't, in fact, Jansen.

I gotta agree and I can't believe the team elt him play. There ahs to be a little more to it. RT is without a shadow of a doubt one of the nicest players I have met. Really down to earth and fun to hang with. I'd love for him to stick around as a coach once he finally hangs it up.
