I speak for a pretty large percentage of Redskin Nation when I say "I don't want that fat fucker back." I understand the disdain for neon prime, but he at least played ALL 16 games in his only year here & I think he played well. He was just old. Wasn't his fault synder threw $$ at him. Also, when there was a major change, Schott as HC, he knew he wasn't going to change, so he retired. I'll at least give him credit for that.

Reading Shanahan's quote, and accepting it is basically true, it sounds like he was given every opportunity to say hey I want to go somewhere else. If he didn't want to stay he should not have accepted the 21 Million. He already had a substantial amount just from last year's signing bonus and pay, so he could have sought a 2nd payday that was a "reasonable" contract from any number of 4-3 teams. The fact that he took the money even with MS/BA offering him the out, says he's just being an a**.

What a shame.
