With the uncertainty of Gruden/Cousins the gig might very well be only for one year, thus none of the big names were really that interested. Job security is the name of the game anywhere. Gruden and Kirk should have been extended for continuity's sake. I think Snyder just trapped the franchise into hiring second hand coaches. Once Gruden is gone it is back to square one. Nobody wants to work here. What we did to Shanny was terrible in hindsight.

Its not on Snyder. Its on Gruden for hiring Barry in the first place when good DCs were available
