I agree with you 100% and said exactly the same thing in another recent post. The Duckett trade was a panic move that did not have to be made under the circumstances. Now if they resign Duckett to a modest contract before the FA period begins, then I may have second thoughts about it. The way it stands now,a trade like that "sucks" because there's not another GM in the league that would have made a move like that. Gibbs was about to make a simular move involving John Abraham during FA earlier this year when he though we may not get Andre Carter, that's why he found himself in the position of defending his position to the media earlier in the week about the way the FO does business. For all who think it was a good move, or the right one to make (if we don't resign Duckett), come draft day this spring, and we watch what would have been our 3rd round pick go to Atlanta (or someplace else depending on what they decide to do with the pick) we may have second thoughts as to the value of such a move.
