Old home movie question...
So coming up in October, we will observe the 10th anniversary of my fathers passing, and we have a large quantity of old family videos (Christmas, Easter, our parents just effing with us, etc...) that we've never been able to watch.
The old camcorder we used is broken, and so far at radio shack I haven't been able to find any kind of adapter to use. Ideally, I would like to pay someone to transfer all the old home movies to dvd. My only question is what kind of technology can they back track to, and how much would something like this cost, say per hour of footage. Are there video places that can play some of these older obsolete video cassettes? It would mean a lot to my family if I was able to do this, and cost really isn't an issue. If anyone has any information that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot guys!
