That is a good point, but like Daseal said, there are plenty of guys on the sidelines to toss them a ball. There is very rarely a situation where a guy spikes a ball and the ref has to chase it. The only time the ball being spiked would come into play would be if a guy spikes it while his team is trying to run a 2 minute drill/no huddle. Then, the idiot is just hurting his own team.

Finally, if you want to speed up the game, stop taking commercial breaks after an extra point AND after a kickoff. That pisses me off so much. So, we get to see a drive, td and extra point or a field goal, then commercial. Come back, kickoff, commercial. I don't even find kickoffs that interesting...wtf is the reason for the second break? JEEZ!
