The Skins have a horrible history of pissing away draft picks, not sigining their own homegrown talent, and paying too much for free agents. If the front office drafts some lineman OR signs Dockery early on to an extension rather than waiting to the last minute to enter the bidding, then we wouldn't be put into a position where whe HAVE to make a move to acquire a LG. The same thing is happening to Cooley, they haven't gotten a deal done, so Cooley could very well hit the open market. If that happens, Cooley is gone. Then we're talking about trading a 4th or a 3rd for a TE next year.

It's completely understandable to look at past moves and wish we weren't in this situation now, but the fact is the past cannot be changed and the present is what it is. Worrying about the past doesn't win us any games this season.
Ultimately, this move will be graded on what happens on the field.
